2025 South Korean Figure Skating Ranking Competition

Also, funny that both junior guys had an edge over Cha because of quads in the SP... that's not happening next week for them.

I would need to see the detailed scores but my feeling is that Cha may have lost a couple points on the Euler combo. However, how is Minkyu 5 points ahead in the LP ? I don't know because Cha's choreography and presentation were very good, better than Seo's.
Minkyu did manage to skate very well and brought the audience to a special place but his program is not as complex. So I'd give a 3-5 points edge to Cha in PCS. So in the end, Cha should have won the LP but Minkyu may have still won the event ?

Perhaps the judges scored Minkyu higher to protect him from Habin. With JGPF coming next week, it may have been important for the Fed to have Minkyu as the winner.

Habin is exciting but seeing the last 4 guys back to back, he is my least favourite of the 4. He is still very young so there is no worry here but yeah...
Just my opinion of course.
1)I love my darling with all my heart as you know, but because of the pain and discomfort his ill-fitting boots gave him he was much more careful when going into the jumps so I would't give him 5 points over than Minkyu in PCS, 3 points seem about right. And I really need to see protocols but I think my darling winning the free and Minkyu winning overall seems reasonable
2)Maybe, but I don't think KSU is actually smart enough to internationally politick. If there was any politicking happening it would've been because Minkyu's mother (who is also his coach) has some influence over the personnel
3)Habin is for now a jumping bean, that is a fact, so you are 100% in your right to put him 4th on your 'liked' list. However his jumps are absolutely phenomenal and even taking his popped axel and lower PCS into account he was somewhat underscored, I am desperate for protocols

The score board is a joke...how they work it and its size. I tried binocs and a manafying glass on my big screen.
Also, they don’t post the leaderboard after all the skates.
I have no idea where the last three skaters are ranked. They just showed their free skate scores
I’m assuming Yuseong Kim is still in the lead.

Results soon to follow, but Jia-Yujae-Chaeyeon are the podium, I am kinda upset about how my love Chaeyeon was scored but I'm utterly exhausted that I can't even be angry
It seems like the Korean federation has always preferred Jia Shin over Chaeyeon Kim.

I love how deep the Korean roster is and the distribution between Senior and Junior skaters follow an interesting pattern.

1 - Senior
2 - Junior
3 - Senior
4 - Junior
5 - Senior
6 - Junior
7 - Junior
8 - Senior
9 - Junior
10-Senior

Evenly split. Korea is well balanced between Seniors/Juniors 👏

I have no idea how they could not have at least made the size a bit bigger and put up the scores, then the position. :scratch2:

Seojin and the twins are in their final junior season, but yes our women's field is so deep that whoever wins I'm sad for another

I am just happy to have seen a wonderful bunch of ladies who know artistry, expression and musicality. The US has 4...maybe 5 of those. Korean has 20.

Short summary after rewatching last group:

Jia:Easily her best skate in last two years.Technically clean.Choreo part getting better but still nowhere close 15 year old Shin.Deserved high points and Olympic spot.Korean number one and it's not even close right now.

Yujae:Not counting 3A it was super solid skate. Not that spectacular as her short but really on point technically and with presentation part.Deserved silver

Chaeyeon: Thought it was really good skate and liked that Stsq finally improved, but after seeing every jump being noted by judges it really really looks miserable.Maybe i was bias too much while cheering 🥲

Seojin:Solid skate technically not gonna lie,but there wasn't much into choreo.Really liked the long one leg skate tru stsq

Haien: What was that tragedy Miss Lee???Did you even listen to the music? Why are we skating in slow motion and moving like we don't want to be there??? Also technic aspect was so low level....
Dissappoitment.

Ashun:Really weak skate.Super slow on the ice with not much interpratation overall.Few UR.Not the dream skate you can ask for.
