Definitely my favorite this week from juniors.She is only 15 but her understanding of tempo of the music and her mature interpretation is impressive.Even tho it wasn't best technically skate still amazing.
And the dress is going for the top of best costumes this year.Beautiful creation.

I don't think she ever even landed the 3A in competition before, so this wasn't too unexpected. The Loop will definitely be reviewed, however, again, I think her PCS are better than Sumika's or either of the twins', but the scoring probably won't reflect that.

Mei Okada's costume is beautiful. Wow. I thought the performance aspect was a bit lacking at times, but that is expected considering her age and level of difficulty. Her choreographic sequence was lovely, and the spins were really fast and showed good flexibility.

But the advantage of watching the Practices is that you can do other things at the same time. Such as getting the Fan Fest posts done that I should have put up this morning before skating started but was not able to because I slept in.

You can't do things like that while watching skating. You have to concentrate on the skating.

Unsurprisingly, Mao manages to deliver again despite the circumstances (injury and a very disappointing Free Skate at Jr Nationals). Congrats for another gold and a still unbroken winning streak.
