I am going out on a limb here so don't hate me but the Olympics are in Italy and I can see Charlene & Marco winning a medal at the games either that or Barbara will burn down the arena

Totally possible. I think it will come down to who can skate with the most freedom and abandon at the Olympics. Charlene and Marco created a moment here and I’ve seen Piper and Paul and Lilah and Lewis do that as well at different times, so it will come down to that if they all skate clean and get their levels. Exciting times!

I think Olympics has two battles: Fournier-Beaudry/Cizerone and Chock/Bates for gold and Piper/Paul and Guignard/Fabbri for bronze.

I wouldn’t rule out F/G for the bronze either. I think it will be a 3-way race.

Fabulous free dance. All so different. Good for Charlene and Marco. Shaky warmup with equipment problems. But their FD was lovely, lyrical and very engaging. Feel for the Brits, hard to skate in front of the home crowd. But the World feed commentators were honest that Lilah and Lewis were slow in places and had that one technical glitch on the turns - seems like they ran out of rink. But Laurence and Guillaume were breathtaking and magnificent. This performance would surely have been a gold medal contender.

I noticed the first set of twizzles was out of sync and annoyed at the judges who just automatically gave them 4’s. But other than that this deserves all the points.

I can see why some will find this to be a snooze with the music but it’s just a masterful performance, feels authentic to them, and nobody else could do what they’re doing.

Also not a G/F fan but they served up their best today and deservedly beat F/G (who were lucky to not marked down worse with the twizzle error - I wonder if the crowd affected them because I can’t imagine anyone being able to hear their music or stay focused with that crowd!).

I noticed that also when the showed a slo-mo just before the medal presentation.She should have been marked lower.Someone on this site mentioned that Cizeron's program was very similar to one he did with Gabby. Will have to find it & compare.

Fear/Gibson's programmes were aimed purely at the home Europeans. Now that Euros are over, I am expecting the judges to drop them.

Judges shouldn’t be affected by crowd noise…otherwise they should wear headphones with only the music piece playing…
