You betcha! GO Bills!Time for me to watch the Denver_
-Buffalo game. Go Bills, the only true New York team.
Really? I feel like F/G have been the new kids on the block this quad that the judges have really been pushing for, as their style favours the direction ice dance is going. The only reason they got Bronze here is became they made a big mistake otherwise they would have had the silver. They also came in third at the GPF just half a mark over Piper and Paul. I personally don’t think they will be dropped. They are electric when they perform live and put in a clean skate.Fear/Gibson's programmes were aimed purely at the home Europeans. Now that Euros are over, I am expecting the judges to drop them.
It was wonderful to have rink side comments.Ichat is utterly exhausted and with her personal heartbreaks needs a hot shower and lots of chocolate (and maybe some alcohol), she will be missing the gala because she needs to pack her bags. Thank you all so much for keeping me company during everything, love you all, see you at 4CCs
That would probably be the most fair if all skated well but I am pretty sure the Canadians will be the sacrifical lambs and Italy or Britain is going to get that bronze. There is the "Canadian Curse" really good dance teams that somehow can't podium at the Olympics - Bourne and Kraatz; Dubreil and Lauzon, Weaver and Poje and now though I am hoping not Piper and Paul.Charlene and Marco will have to contend with the support and pressure of a home audience. I think they have the maturity to handle it and it may just spur them on. I think, though, the RD will hold them back and I see a French, US, Canadian podium.
It was so obvious they were getting the hometown boost, there is no way that was a 124 point free. It's almost as if ice dancing is fixed...?Really? Well, when you stop, you can't do a mistake! duh.How on Earth are F/G twizzles level 3 and 4 if they stopped in the middle of the sequence?
If I don't have a huge investment in terms of which pair wins gold olympics, but it's very hard for me to see Guillaume and Evan in the same universe when it comes to basic skating skill.and Evan![]()

I do think a twizzle mistake should matter, but I don’t think it should necessarily be the death blow in a free dance. Ice dance is built from dozens of smaller pieces—edges, turns, flow, speed, and overall blade quality—so any single error sits within a much bigger picture.Lopareva/Brissaud were robbed being clean in both segments. Fear/Gibson should have finished off the podium due to Lilah’s messy twizzle and her causing Lewis to trip. Lilah and Lewis were much slower and cautious after that mistake and were gifted their 2nd tarnished bronze medal of the season.
FB/C were clearly the winners and should have been far ahead in points, but it’s absolutely a disgrace that G/F’s points were as close as they were to F/G. The Italians should have finished 5+ points ahead of the Brits.
One of the most beautiful programs and costumes for this yearYea. This program has too much "he skates around her" feel. Not fan of the costumes either. It's an obvious choreography with no risk whatsoever for Cizeron.
He doesn't need or want a partner who is "selling it", he needs a partner who is willing to mold to his style and isn't vibing a diva, but there won't be a big skill gap that will destroy the impression of the program he wants to create (I'm not falling for this vibe, but I imagine many love this style). I'm not familiar with her and her previous partnership because I was far away from figure skating when they competed, but I have the impression that most women in the circut, even in much lower level teams, have more presence on ice than she has - or their partners are letting them shine more. Probably this is the biggest problem I have with this partnership (thing outside skating aside) that there is no real partnership.Obviously Laurence is one of the strongest females skaters out there - she always has been. I personally think they had to do one of those introverted type dances this year, because she really doesn't/can't sell things the way Chock does...
Belive me, it's very difficult and requires lots of strenght and skill to lift a person when balancing on one foot, with your body several cm above the ice, there is no margin for saving the lift. While sure, it isn't as watchable for casual viewers as all these super fast rotational lifts with her swinging around his upper body and like 5 positions changes during 8 seconds, "easy" isn't the right word, maybe "less spectacular" would be better. To me the FB/C lifts look too easy, if lifts are the quads of dance then why do the FB/C lifts look like he barely lifts them? How do they get the highest GoE?
I entertained myself trying to imagine Cizeron skating with Lopareva - I don't think it would work at allHe doesn't need or want a partner who is "selling it", he needs a partner who is willing to mold to his style and isn't vibing a diva, but there won't be a big skill gap that will destroy the impression of the program he wants to create
totally, she would make him fix her hair in K&C - that's the extend of her personalityI entertained myself trying to imagine Cizeron skating with Lopareva - I don't think it would work at allEvgeniia would project her own personality and it would totally conflict with what Cizeron would attempt to create.
read some of her interviews, she has lots of p
I still prefer L/B’s free dance.
But, looking at the TES… looks like they will easily be on the podium and are on the upswing heading to the Olympics in their home turf
