The rest looked pretty great to me but the judges disagreed... Only level 3 pattern step hurt them, all other top teams got level 4.

RD: 89.72 (2nd)

That was very well-skated from Chock & Bates, they're going to go into the lead at the end of this. They slowed down a lot during the first portion of the midline but otherwise were very clean. never mind, their PSt got levelled down... it will be hard for C/B to win this now, the French have a very strong FD and C/B are going to be exhausted heading into the free. They really needed to have a cushion heading into the FD to win the gold medal.

That was really nice how C/B timed the exit of that first twizzle to the music. These 2 must be absolutely exhausted, but they are showing no signs of it so far. I am really impressed with the musicality of their steps in this dance. Very nicely timed to the tempo! Impressive energy and attack! Hats off; they were terrific there! Bravo, Madi and Evan!

C/B's program is for me the only program that felt real and authentic.

C/B are so smart and strategic. They know the asset they have in Madi and they keep her up front the entire time. They know how to hit a highlight and get the crowd excited.

Their speed and ice coverage are behind several teams however.
