His provisional score was 97. 97 would have placed him 4th and he'd be in contention for bronze right now. No matter the 3Aq call, PCS dropping 3 points because of that is a bit much.I feel like all the people going on about Cha's "robbery" (which I'm pointing out because it made newsweek) are really only considering him being placed behind Grassl. Which I find bs to be sure as well - but I still had him 6th. If anything, I thought Aymoz and Siao Him Fa were "held back".
Gummenik with PCS lower than Egadze is really a joke of the day.
Why does 'provisional score' matter. I don't at all feel he should be in contention for bronze, nor do I feel he should be anywhere close to getting 100.His provisional score was 97. 97 would have placed him 4th and he'd be in contention for bronze right now. No matter the 3Aq call, PCS dropping 3 points because of that is a bit much.
He had a clean quad sal, and the lutz-loop combination which is more difficult that the lutz-toe. His step sequence should have been level 4 too, if you're giving Grassl of all people level 4s.
While I loved Kevin's short, Junhwan did better.
Excuse me?And he’s fortunate a provision was made that even allows him to compete here.
Omg so not true, egadze just goes straight all the time and the only time he bends his knees is in the church. Gummenik is obviously a better skater and if you dont see that you are delusional.Egadze deserves better PCS. He has more musical sensitivity, more creativity in the movement, and more speed. Gummenik's program has nothing to say. Egadze's is haunting.
I'm gonna use this from now on.the only time he bends his knees is in the church.
Same hereI'm in the mood to go back and rewatch Adam but I have to woooork....

If they were "his" brand and their feet were of similar shape, then yes, it is possible and happened a few times, but on rather low profile comps. Katia Kurakova had to withdraw from Warsaw Cup due to lost laugage. There is a reputable skating shop at the rink of the competition, that probably would fit her something, but she didn't decide on buying new skates and participating in them.Oh I dont doubt that for a second.... In fact, isnt there a famous pic of Tanya Harding putting her boot up on the boards for the judges to see? Wasnt there a male skater that actually used a competitor's boot in a program?
I agree. Her voice I still find annoying (I don't know why) but I appreciate how she goes into mechanics of a jump - always something to learn -and I am listening!Shout-out to Louise Walden - she's been doing a good job - I think she's improved a lot and has a lot more insight to her commentary than previously.
I argued with my mom about Egadze during Euros. She liked him but she wasn't watching FS in years.Omg so not true, egadze just goes straight all the time and the only time he bends his knees is in the church. Gummenik is obviously a better skater and if you dont see that you are delusional.
This made my day!Omg so not true, egadze just goes straight all the time and the only time he bends his knees is in the church. Gummenik is obviously a better skater and if you dont see that you are delusional.

Excuse me?
I thought I was the only one that thought this!Go, Mr. Bowling Shirt, go!

I agree about Simon - he doesn't have the enthusiasm that Chris does, and he seems to have a negative slant on things.I agree. Her voice I still find annoying (I don't know why) but I appreciate how she goes into mechanics of a jump - always something to learn -and I am listening!
Simon, on other hand, I find very disappointing. I don't remember him being so negative before. For example, a skater steps out of a jump - Simon's comment - he is down! His voice conveys a major disappointment like HOW could he...
Some other commentator would say - he was fighting for his landing ?...
Another example: Commenting on Daniel Grasll - it was not a good season for him, 3rd in one GP , ONLY 5th in another, got to GP final and ONLY 4th there.
Excuse me? A lot of skaters would consider it a marvellous result
