What is the promotion then? Mentioned Popov, who has never been in the national team, is still not released. He has to sit out another season.
Popov discontinued his application. He was refused last season with Zhilina, he would have been got his release this time like Zhilina (same timeline) and we'd see him on interantional ice as an Uzbekistani. It's been said that ISU is not happy about Russians planting flags everywhere they can, so mass releasing skaters to every Central Asian country interested could be a way to put extra pressure on the decision regarding the Great Matter. I mean, it's as Vysotskii sang it, where to find 'em? Why, every other one in Turkmenia [...]

The latest news was that the application is still there, but it has been postponed at least until December.

The source is the same one who claims that Zhilina was released.

^ I'm curious now, is Ksenia also wanting to transfer out of Russia?

It's just that the huge majority of the transfers of known senior (and junior) skaters done so far has been done through Plushenko, so that would seem like the most probable reason to move to him (like also Popov did, and I think I read also Yamatova?). Probably Sofia M. would have also move to him if she hadn't been previously expelled from the group.

I doubt it, she's almost 22 and has some chronic injuries.

I guess it's because of shows and kind of stagnation.

Popov moved because he had a conflict with his previous coach.

Sinitsina with Plushenko will be interesting, but sad she left Panova they have been a team for so long, I suppose she needed some fresh new perspectives/vibes in her skating.

I for one personally have no issue with Russians transferring and competing for other countries, with this ongoing ban what does the ISU actually expect?

I am waiting to hear the news that Kostornaya will transfer to Azerbaijan.

You gotta be kidding me.... fingers crossed, but to December? That means he can maybe do late season challengers at best.

He can do Europeans.
If he gets minimum score on a late challenger, I guess? Out of curiosity... is Uzbekistan 4CC or Euro? I can't for the life of mine remember. Or is he now going to Azerbaijan since everyone is going to Azerbaijan?

4CC for Uzbekistan and Euros for Azerbaijan. And minimums for those shouldn't be hard. Its the minimums for Worlds that is difficult.

I hope one or another happens for him -- i guess it's time to get out of women's thread though.

seems like there is a lot of pressure for allowing Russians back to competion, I wonder if Mura's decision wasnt a bit early
