Kaho YAMASHITA / Yuto NAGATA

Erika OUE / Eisuke KUMANO (Jr)
FD: La la land

Mao Shimada
SP: Between Two Worlds (Mili) choreo by Kana Muramoto
FS: Waloyo yamoni (Christopher Tin) choreo by Shae-Lynn Bourne
Fun story: I saw on my twitter wall today some random post of a fan gushing about Mao skating to Woloyo yamoni, mentoning that her Mada Kara Mieru permance was amazing. Then I realized the author was Christopher Tin himself ;)

Amy Cui & Jonathan Rogers USA
RD:
FD: Sinners soundtrack; choreo by Kaitlyn Weaver
sinners is a great movie with a great soundtrack, i'm looking forward to this
Mayuko Oka JPN (junior woman)
SP: Don Quixote, choreo by Kana Muramoto
FS: Everything Everywhere All At Once, choreo by Kaitlyn Weaver

It looks like another great set of program for Mayuko ❤️❤️. Same choreographers as last years which worked well for her. Can't wait to see it!
the free sounds cool

so we have a bunch of waltz-tango and waltz-samba already

:dbana:
Speaking as a ballroom dancer in my parallel-universe life, combinations like that in just a few minutes on the ice are cringeworthy. On the dance floor, for example, waltz and samba require -- as in they're compulsory above the bronze level -- different shoe styles (closed court shoes vs higher-heeled open sandals), different costume rules ( formal ballroom vs men's loose open shirts or very short dresses with lots of fringe, different hairstyles for both, different types and amount of makeup, etc etc.

Now I'm going to have nightmares about waltz/jive combinations, or waltz/western line dance combinations.......

Pre-comp costume tryout by two friends, without the makeup and hairstyles. This relatively conservative Latin look would cause a disqualification in a waltz event:

Some program announcements from Ovision Ice Arena Cup:

Riku Sakuma JPN (debut jr man)

SP: Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence

Arisa Kamoi (Woman)
FS: The Umbrellas of Cherbourg

There were more but I listed only top ranked skaters, so please check the competition thread if you're interested.
I didn't listed recycled program as the competition is held very early in the season so some skaters just might have not been ready to debut both new programs yet.
