Following a wave of partnership changes after the Olympic season, several of Canada's most recognizable ice dancers have found new teammates. Some partnerships were created through Ice Academy of Montreal's "mix-and-match" sessions, while others emerged after international partner searches. Together, they represent one of the most significant offseason reshuffles in recent memory.

Canadian Ice dance has been through a hurricane. Many splits and retirements have led to 4 new promising teams, all representing Canada.

Marjorie Lajoie and Jean-Luc Baker = Bakerie

Hannah Lim and Zachary Lagha = Lila

Sandrine Gauthier and Paul Ayer = Spa

Alicia Fabbri and Marko Gaidajenko = Alma

Before we see them skate competitively, which for most should happen at Championnats québécois d'été on August 7 (Rhythm dance) and August 8 (Free dance), which team do you think will be most successful ?

What are your takes on the new partnerships? How do you envision them stacking up this early going into Skate Challenge? What do you hope to see from each team? Who are you most excited about?

what's amazing is how this reshuffling has seemed to be productively good.

Bakerie are the most experienced and perhaps the best team from the start. I think they could be a threat earlier than the others.

Lila : beautiful lines and traditional ice dance aesthetics. I think they will skate to deep music and I will love them for that. So to me, they have the most untapped potential as of now.

Spa : I think they can bring some steamy programs. They are the ones I am thinking will need more time to develop.

Alma : I like their vibe a lot. They are very cute together too which well, not hard to do for anyone skating with Alicia Fabbri. She is always smiling and looks so genuinely happy.

I am very excited to be going to CQE. I double booked myself so I won't be able to see the RDs and that is tricky because sometimes team w/d from the FD... but I will go for the FDs for sure. It will be interesting to see how the new teams fare against LaLe and V/B but even other teams like Fizz (Fournier/Zhu- new nickname created as I type) and Robinson-Portz.

Me too and very interesting too, I can't wait to see them , are least I seen the clips on GS at Instagram and are very interesting and even a personality mix that perhaps blends perfectly too
