Ladies LP Sun Nov. 15th 2:00 PM-4:00 PM

Susanna:

3Lz- fall
2F (?)
3S-2T step out
Sit spin
1A
Spiral
3T-2T
CStSq
2T
2A
Flying sit

Susanna too lost speed into her jumps. Her 2A was the only clean element, IMHO. She had a nice choreographic passage in the middle of her program.

Total: 124.22

Alexe:

3T (?)
3Lz - step out
3T - touched down
Sitspin
Layback
Spiral
2A - fall; no speed entering
3Fl-2T-2T turned out
1Lz - popped
3S -1T hunched landing on 3S
CStsq
Flying Camel

Alexe lost a great deal of speed shortly after she started. From her 2A forwards, she got slower and slower into her jumps. Please, please leave Tom Z. You can do so much better.

Total: 129.01

what a meltdown. So disappointing.

Emily still in the lead. She'll have some bragging power. Shudder to think.

Tugba is next !!! Yeeeeeeh.

On NBC, they are now showing Kim Yu-Na's SP. There was also a brief mention about Emily skating in the first group and being a last minute replacement for Sasha. Andrea Joyce said she spoke with Sasha earlier in the week. Among the points in their conversation:

  • She's disappointed to not be there competing.
  • The injury has limited training both on and off the ice, but expects to resume full training in 2 weeks
  • She doesn't have time to listen to the naysayers about her comeback
  • She's had regular monitoring sessions for feedback on her programs

I wonder if Sasha will ever skate competitively again?

O/T You are in my favorite city in the world. I am a native.:)

Tugba also bombed with multiple falls. Too bad it's such a nice music cut and choreography. She got lots of applauses though.

Tugba:

Steps into 3F - fall
3S
3T
Flying camel
2S-2T
CCoSpin
3S
2A - shaky
Combo spin
2A
SlStp

Oy.... Tugba, why?! Her choreography has so much void! Tugba has very little strength in her jumps. Conditioning would be beneficial.

Total: 122.40
