Yes they just broke their own WR in the free and in combined score, while yesterday they broke the short program's WR.

Just kill me.

I know I'm sounding like a V/T hater but I'm really not... just fed up with this whole thing.

V/T are the Judge's Pets of the World, for sure. Normally I don't care too much about pairs, but I'm really hoping S/S have come up with two fabulous programs for this season, so I can get behind them.

Technically solid, but god, what an awful free skate. It's unfortunate that there were 2 world records here, because those were not the best skated SP and LP under this new system.

Obviously the elements are strong, and their movement as a pair is excellent, but the choreo was just meh. 231 points is ridiculous for two programs that need mileage in-between the elements.

I have to agree. Their program was disappointing for me.

I love "Jesus Christ Superstar". In fact, I have the original 1970 soundtrack.

But, if I was to put together a skating routine from the soundtrack, I wouldn't have used the bits of music that they used.

They should have just used the "Overture". It would have produced a more dramatic and exciting routine than that!

Oh, and I hated the costumes!

I know we haven't seen their routines yet. But for me, Savchenko and Szolkovy are suddenly looking a lot more promising for the gold...

v/t's free program is not that great. solid elements, but the program itself left me cold. 150 points? right. i really hope s/s have the skate of their lives in sochi but even then i am not sure they can even come close to that score

Poor S/S. It's no way they are getting these scores.

I hope that S/S think that they won't win the gold and let go of that pressure and just skate lights out and perfectly.

ETA I have to say, the judges are doing theses skaters a huge disservice by throwing out these monster scores so early in the season. That is a lot of pressure for them to maintain that perfection. Where the heck do they go now? You want to be able to build throughout the season, not peak in September!

German commentators seem to have been fallen asleep..... Wendes have just made a "break" in the program and they did not even mention it. Huh?

About the marks - those for V&vC were inflated, too, imho - so maybe the judges have just let everythin go.....

Yeah, I love all three of them, wish they had three spots! I like W/W a bit better than V/V if I have to choose. I love that program they just did.

Maybe if SS skate two perfect beautiful programs and lose to VT, there will be enough outcry to make significant changes to the judging system

why would thay get those scores if they don't work for it and deserve them ?
S/S arent exactly better nor great either. they are boring skaters with no chemistry with each other
not to mention a mismatched pair

they are the overrated pair since 2008. finally they get the scores they deserve :thumbsup:
