That's ok, B/A are only going to get stronger as they have said before. I expect a totally different free dance from them at Worlds. As for Dubreuil and Lauzon, Good for them, I'm hoping they also will win the title. Heck, Anybody who can win the title besides Domnina and Shabalin are good in my book. Even Denkova and Staviski who should have been higher at Europeans, but I digress.

What's hold B/A back is the compulsories. they need to have more flow and better lines within their patterns if they want to get more points :)

I predicted this right! Poor Tanith and Ben are going to be close second to somebody all season. With the old freedance, they would have been more like third. I hope they canstill medal at worlds. Hopefully, but doubtfully gold.

curious

How many of you are actually into ice dancing? I just can't get into it. It's not real sport for me.

Sailor, it wasn't unexpected...B/A had some problems this year-not enough time, bad FD and a new one ....they should be heros if they've won this championships
Unfortunately we can't say anything more now, as probably nobody watched the FDs :(

I was pleased to see that D&L won the TES and the PCS, and overall it was quite a comprehensive victory for them in the FD, pulling away from B&A. Congrats to the 3rd and 4th placed couples too, and the Reeds from Japan, a very interesting comp for the Dance Fan.

The results show the finish of the battle between D/L and B/A. So be it.

But I see V/M, D/W and N/B making statements about the overall look of Skate Dance. It ain't over till Vancouver.

Well that ended up pretty much in my dream order, so no complaints here. Nice to see that this FD is more of a winner already for B/A than their last one. Fantastic to see D/L lay down a good one here, as they've struggled the last two times out of the gate. They needed this going into worlds, including an international score that puts them right up there with the other top teams competing for gold.

V/M — so, so pleased for them. I love their FD best of all the teams this year, and it's nice to see the international judging panel warming up to giving them scores in the 90s for it — it is most richly deserved.

I absolutely cannot wait to see this.

I am! Meeee!

*waves hand frantically*

Out of all the disciplines right at this point in time I love ice dancing the most. But of course this would be because of Shay and Vic's influence over my teen years and now Tessa and Scott. They truly dance and it's a joy to watch.

I saw them skate at jr nationals in 01 where their FD which was a salsa got them a standing O. And well deserved. I've been glomming onto any news or video of them since.

I don't think there has been a dance I have not liked from these two. They make me love each dance they do. Of course I would love if they would get the chance to work with different choreographers. It would be fun to see what would come of that.

But to me they represent the purity of this sport of real ice dance. It's not all about the lifts and pained expressions and showing your crotch in a contorted way, it's about the way they move and 'dance' and make it look easy and beautiful on ice. It's how they connect with each other in such a chemical way!

CONGRATS TO DUBRUIEL AND LAUZON! SPECTACULAR JOB TESSA AND SCOTT!

I'm really starting to enjoy ice dance. Before it was cool to watch but I didn't understand what made one thing hard as compared to another... I'm learning as I go...

the US teams kicking major butt internationally helped me sit up and take notice too ;)
