D/W scored 110.02 for their FD

Must be good, because that score included a deduction for extended lift... level 3's on footwork... some GOE left on the table...

Components are huge, including 9.92 for comp/choreo. The judges must really like the program.

Weaver/Poje seemed bit slow, but I liked their program.

As for Davis/White-I like this Scheherazade FD much better than ther MFL SD. But I guess I should wait for Skate America to make a comment on their Scheherazade FD...

The way things are going, Courtney, Angela, Caroline, and Christina will be screwed this year. They put freaking Agnes above all of them last year. They will do it again.
Gracie can earn her place, fair and square. I just hope it's not going to be ugly.
Ashley can do 2 triples in the SP, 5-6 triples in the LP and lock herself a spot.

US Fed is the worst when it comes to politics. And we poke fun at Tarasova?

apple and orange.
jeremy was on the way out. The us fed was never that keen on him.
The us fed loves gracie.

Remind yourself why you are defending a jumper who just did 3 triples in a 7 triples program.
For someone else whose programs are captivating, it might be ok. FOR A JUMPER? 3 TRIPLES?

I'm not defending her program today. It did not go well. However, I will point out that she got +1.00 GOE or higher on six different elements. So it wasn't completely useless.

And I'm not defending Gracie cause I'm her uber. I defend what I think is over the top speculation and panic that is not warranted.

Also I use the Max example for Courtney. If she skated the way she did today at Nationals-- she will shake up the standings and these supposedly locks. (And that would be great of that happened.)

I hope she learns from this and moves forward. I don't play God. Anything can happen from here on out.
And that includes supposed "locks" being out of the team.

disappointing ladies event, the only one who really stood out was cesario, glad she has 2 GPs she deserves it, mature skating and mature and foxy looking lady, she was way underscored her... is the protocols up? she must have gotten some URs...
no way should cesario be behind gold, Gold needs 2 NEW PROGRAMS if shes going anywhere this season... and that dress makes her look way too juniorish...
i guess hicks deserved to win her, but i liked her SP more, dont like her posture on the ice..

I really liked the lifts, and Meryl's choerography. While it's too early to judge, I think it's my favorite D/W FD-or at least, it might become one.

I agree with Tonia, Courtney reminds me of Irina Slutskaya. Lots of power and quality jumps but lack of artistry. However, you can't win with artistry if can't jump (Alissa is one of those). Gracie needs new coach and new choreography. Courtney needs to be more polished. The problem is USFS decided not to include Courtney in their Olympic bet...no GP, no promo...sad...

She didn't get any URs, which is really bad news for her.
The international judges won't be so kind. They will slap her with 4 URs and she's done.

What exactly is an "extended lift?" One that goes on too long? Don't they time it in practice?

I'm encouraged to read the last part. You are such a knowledgeable contributor on dance threads... your opinion means something.

Yes, they do, but if there is any hangup getting into or out of the lift, it will take too long; more than 6 seconds for a short lift or 12 second for a long lift, AFAIR.
