I hope someone will start fan fests for Alexei Bychenko ISR and for Brendan Kerry AUS. They have none at all at this time.

You could probably link the Australian skaters thread for Brendan, but I will start one tomorrow when I have a little time.

*screams with excitement* Finally, we're here! And Brendan! And Jason! and Max!

AND BOTH THE SP AND FS ARE AT LUNCHTIME ON A SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MY TIME. BESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSST

:jaw: Only few days to go. :jaw:

I'm really hoping that this first event sets the standard for both Men's and Women's competition for the season.

Considering that no one implodes, I really hope the top 5 men in my mind will be head to head close....Ten, Uno, Brown, Mura and Han.

But considering how the last 2 are unpredictable and how Ten usually only performs at his best in the latter end of the season, I am not holding my breath.

Gosh I'm nervous for everyone! I want them all to do their best, land their quads and may the best skater win!

Warwick360, you forgot Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaax!

The ultimate fun would be if somehow Brendan medalled! (Hey, a girl can dream, right?)

I'd love to see both Max and Jason on the podium.

Yeah, he's in the running, but he usually gets lower PCS so hence I didn't think he'd be a safe bet. Plus, his chances mostly depend on his quads, so if I had to put him in the top 5, I'd trade off with Mura or Han. Can't see him close if the rest just get their triples right, let alone a quad. :eek:hwell:

And I'm looking forward to Kerry too. He's been my one to watch, especially after the Sochi disappointment, ironically. I wonder if he's still hyper in the Kiss and Cry like last year.

Is this his only GP this season?

I'm so excited! *Squeal!* This will be my 3rd time seeing Jason skate! I hope this time when I throw his gift onto the ice after the SP, it makes it onto the ice instead of barely making it. I'm prepared to be grinning like an idiot the entire time.

But Max got eighty-threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This is Brendan's first GP ever! :yay: I think it is his only one, unless by some miracle he is assigned another.

Yes. But usually it probably depends on who else is in the competition. They'll probably adjust the scores taking into the consideration the level of competitors. So his might get dinged to make adjustment, possibly?

As for Australia, is there even another top or notable skater? And I'm wondering how they decide on the GP number of entries.

Oh, I'd say, "Cheer for whoever you want in the men's event." Their chances may well be as good as anyone's. Two years ago, Takahashi and Kozuka were at SA. Neither medaled. Top three were Machida, Adam, and Max. None of whom had been near a world podium.

I think it is fairly safe to label Andrew Dodds our men's number 2 now. That 3Lz . But Brendan's the only one with a stable 3A and a quad.

The GP entries aren't done by country - they're done by world ranking/season's best - one of those two, I can never remember exactly how it works.

Short program skate order will be by World Ranking. Wonder how that will impact performance levels. Second group intensity, bring it on.

Go Han! :cheer:

Go everyone, but this year Han's LP is . The quality of his skating is so underrated. I'd love for him to skate clean and sneak to the top of the podium. Denis is my favorite top-tier level man, but I'm not holding my breath for him to wow me this early in the season (but I have faith he will in a few more months ;)).

Also looking forward to how much Jason's and Max's programs have improved since their last outing.

I'm in love with Han Yan's LP too! I hope he keeps his costume simple to underline his lines. I watched his LP in his practice clothes and it was gorgous!

Wow Lori choreographed 25% of all the programs here!

I once posted Amodio would be a natural for Happy a few years ago! Funny it turn out to be real! There seems many crowd pleasing programs here, ready to be entertained. I am curious if Brown will bring out the quad. I expect him to win the SP by PCS, long I am not sure how his progress with the program at this stage. This is his competition to lose.

Always expect good stuff from Denis and Han Yan, hope it can be a break out season for Han Yan and make his grandfather proud. Max at home, need all the support he can get, hope he bring a big surprise. Shoma should be on the podium, many have picked him as their gold fav, personally, I am not so sure. This is a deep field, many talented skaters, including my fav 2 Russian men.
