"Carmen" in Sochi till 2 October,
the "Ice Age" is started,
they should make a good "Nutcracker" till the New Year,
they are skating "Carmen" in Belarus on 15, 16, 17, 18 of December,
they are going to London in January 2017...
And... they add more "Carmens" to the schedule (November), one show in Estonia (December)...

In 2014 they had the "City Lights" in Sochi... when they were starting the "Ice Age", Averbukh left Yagudin and Shabalin in Sochi and took other skaters to Moscow. Gordeeva and Naomi Lang replaced Averbukh's skaters in Sochi, Leonova and Khvalko also stayed there... Yet people were saying, that soon the last ship would take Shabalin to Moscow, and Yagudin would be skating in Sochi alone...

I don't understand why Adelina spends the time putting together two competitive programs and trains all her triple jumps then sits out the GP and instead does something like this. She's not in top form but she looked pretty good in her test skates, so it's obvious she has been training relatively hard. Her situation is very perplexing to me.

It's come to the point, that when I see "Sotnikova" headline in Russian skating news. I'm already shaking. :hopelessness:
It all started in Dec 2014 and her famous "I will need some test skates before Europeans" - almost two years of weird, contradicting or evasive announcements, interviews, statements and decisions. Making all the noise, but not much sense whatsoever. I don't know, who is playing this game: herself, her team or the federation, but it has gotten on my nerves BECAUSE I LIKE HER and want her back.
Just expecting some respectful treatment as a fan, say how it's gonna be Adelina, please. :scowl:

This is her choice. As far as I understand, she will be able to participate in some competitions. If she wants also to do this... well, let it be.

As for the "Ice Age", she should be able to come, when they make the TV-record. The practice takes more time, but... maybe it is possible to find the most comfortable variant. Maybe she even won't stay in the project for a long time.

As far as I understand, Adelina succeeds to build good relations with people, when she works with them... Maybe she deserves respect, when she just tries to work and not to hope only for medals... People were blaming her after Sochi. Maybe it is good, that she just try to do all she can.

I liked Adelina's test skates too. (though... maybe I thought: "it will be better" - about every skater...)

agreed I don't get it either. And it makes me super sad since I was so excited for both her programs. they are amazing.
it is also very weird that she is the only single skater in this cast. All the others are ice dancers or pair skaters, so she is in disadvantage and I don't expect her to go very far in this show?

It is said, that for girls it is easier. Yagudin was learning like this (it is good, that he didn't fall, when he succeeded to lift a girl above his head; it seems the girl wasn't bigger than him, yet... it is good, that he didn't fall). Abt participated too.

I hope they are not going to make Adelina's boy do some serious lifts. He doesn't seem to be big.

And... maybe it is good, if Adelina won't go far?

It is always like this. Some actors are "skating", some of them are very weak. And etc.

Skating in ice shows ect. is training too, so i don't see a problem here

Whee! I'm excited for this, IMO this version of skating with celebrities is better than any other in the world. You actually see most celebs improving and learning and they get nice, interesting choreography. Most of the pro skaters have also gotten really good at teaching the celebs, and it's interesting when ice dancers and pairs skaters skate "solo" with new partners. Often, you actually start seeing their qualities as individual performers. Maxim Marinin really blossomed as a pro. Rita Drobiazko is a good performer, but tends towards wildness and flailing and has technical hang-ups that get much more obvious when she's not being "shielded" by Povilas. Povilas is a quiet, elegant performer who seems really good at teaching everyone and partnering everyone. Both Navka and Kostomarov really shine as pro performers, which I guess shouldn't be that surprising since they managed to sell the hell out of Zhulin's most blah and generic programs as well. It's interesting to watch. :thumbsup:

Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm really excited for it... for the first time in AGES! So looking forward to Varnava/Marinin and also my girl Yuliana Karaulova! I've been rooting for her since her 'Fabrika Zvezd' season (Russian version of 'American idol'), and although I don't like her music that much anymore, but the girl is a fire, very beutiful!

And Miheeva is going to host! Oh my, there will be a LOT of silly jokes and actions then

Yagudin didn't ask Urgant to give him Allochka. He was inviting Urgant to skate. Once again. And this time Urgant said he would be ready to skate in a pair with Yagudin. Yagudin promised to lift him. So I don't understand, why this pair isn't skating.

Averbukh is amazingly strict to Allochka. He says he didn't like her work during the first day. She started to worry about their feelings, to ask everybody about their feelings... Yet Averbukh says he just wants to see her usual style of work. So there should be no problem. And Averbukh also thinks the hosts didn't become a pair yet. Was Yagudin sleeping? He knows her. It seems he doesn't need much time to establish a contact...

"All the events"? Oh, the plans of Averbukh's team are not her plans. She skates only in this project, but most of these skaters work with Averbukh during all the year. As for Adelina... well, she was skating with this team in a tour, and I think any of the Russian shows is happy to work with her... I don't know her plans.
They don't need Adelina for "Carmen".
Many skaters were skating with this team for a short time. Lambiel, Kovtun, Lipnitskaya, Pitkeev, Gachinsky, Gordeeva, Naomi Lang, Johnny Weir... I don't know, what Adelina is going to do.
