2018 4CC results and world ranking for Olym

I’m shocked! Is it true that 2018 4CC results do not count for World Ranking before the Olympic game, but European Championship results count??? How that would be fair/ reasonable ? Where can I find the rules regarding World ranking update before Olympic Games? And how about international B class competitions? Is there a cut off date/event for the points to be added to the world ranking for Olympic Games ? Thank you very much !

I suspect that few Olympians will compete at 4CC anyway, as the dates are so close to the opening dates of the Olympics. I am quite certain that no US or Canadian Olympians will be going to 4CC. Even for Asian athletes, being at a competition with limited practice time is not what you want to be doing for an entire week so close to the Olympics.

OTOH, most European Olympians will likely attend Euros as they don't need to travel that far and there is an additional week between the end of Euros and the start of the Olympics.
