Junior Worlds: RD

Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha of Canada took the lead in after the Rhythm Dance at the 2019 World Figure Skating Championships on Thursday. Russian's Elizaveta Khudaiberdieva and Nikita Nazarov, Sofia Shevchenko and Igor Eremenko, and Arina Ushakova and Maxim Nekrasov are in second through fourth, respectively.

Who were your favorites? What are your thoughts on the judging?

L/L and S/E were just fab today, especially L/L.

L/L were spectacularly good today. K/N were on fire as well. The entire last flight was incredible and the FD should be really interesting.

L/L really attacked their dance, they seemed less tentative then everyone else. I also thought they had the smoothest Argentine Tango section of any of the teams. It’ll be interesting to see if they can hold that lead going forward as their free hasn’t scored as high as some of their competitors this season.

Some other thoughts:

LOVED S/E’s twizzle sequence leading into her spin. Very original.

N/K have huge potential. I’m assuming they still have another couple of years in juniors since they’re on the younger side of things?

Should be a great Free.

According to the article, they're moving up to Seniors next season.
