Could you give link to this video. please
There was a link but it was removed because of the copyright-thingy.
Can we perhaps try to collect all the information about the programs in the first post with links (if the program has already been performed)?
I love the music of
Nakano's program, but thought that the choreography looked a bit generic. Nakano has the charisma to make the program interesting though. And I hope that she will be mind-blowing to Giselle.
I love
Lysacek's choice for his freeprogram - not really happy about the short though. Bolero isn't fantastic music in my opinion (it was probably written under the influence of a neurological disease, hence the repetitive nature - that of course doesn't reduce the quality of the music but this repetive style is just not my cup of tea). And it's just hard to skate to I think. It's like Safri Duo - just a bit older and with different instruments - and only KVDP (and perhaps Joubert) can pull off Safri Duo.
As I said, happy about the free. I wanted to see him skate to jazzy-classical music sometime (would have prefered the
overture to Candide though - why is nobody skating to that, it's so amazing, it has everything...:disapp

. Well, never mind. Still happy with the choice

.
Johnny's music. Tinymavy, do you remember how we talked about Saint-Preux in the thread about the music and I gave you two links to two pieces and the first one was "On the Wings of Time"? And you said that it's pretty good - and now he actually chose it... I still think it's a good piece, it's not really innovative or really creative, but it's probably going to be a good and beautiful program, that emphasises his strengths.
About the LP, well I just - sincerely and with all my heart - hate most musicals. A musical is basically a watered-down, overly expensive and highly superficial version of an opera. Notre-Dame is not one of the really bad musicals, but it's still a musical. The music is tolerable, I guess. I am still excited about this program because Johnny's approach to the program sounds interesting and creative (and I heard he is training Ina Bauers and laybacks

).
Summertime by Gershwin for
Lambiel, I was like

- till I read the choice for his LP:scowl:. Another Tango? It must be number 253 this season. That's the
chosen one by the way. He better makes this unique. Oh, and I heard that Antonio Najarro is on his way to New York to choreograph the program (programs?) - no worries there then. At least we can have a poll at the end of the season - who did the best Tango.
Still waiting for Takahashi's LP-announcement - and Joubert's choices of course.
And I got these from a French forum - I am not sure if they have already been posted.
Most interesting here is: Will Lindemann really be back?
