But you meant the music itself. Okay...It is still amaging, I think, that he still continues composing a lot of music even after he lost his hearing ability. As for badly written, well, all I can say is tastes differ in music or in any art. Besides, there were a lot of composers, painters and/or artists who never/seldom got appreciated while they lived in the past. But later (after they passed away, mostly) their pieces of works got re-evaluated and some of them are now called 'genius'.
As for picking up bad/wrong music, no wrorries! I would say. Of course music is very important, but it is not a classical contest. What is the most improtant in figure sating should be skater(s) and its skating, not the music, its composers or choreographers. I know a couple of skaters who can make justice to any music even if it may sound awful and/or to any choreography even if it may look um...trash. And Takahashi sure is one of such skaters. Am I biased??? Oh yes!
