Thanks, Finnstep, for going through the pairs! And for the correction about Jin Seo Kim.

I haven't seen music choices for Capellini & Lanotte yet.
More than likely it will be ScheherazadeI haven't seen music choices for Capellini & Lanotte yet.![]()
I would hope not. Don't want another repeat of Worlds 2013 where V/M and C/L had the same music and one went right after the other. It just became underwhelming.

Javier Fernández's programs from Hielo Español:
LP: first part to the soundtrack of 'Peter Gunn' television series composed by Henry Mancini and second part to Harlem Nocturne by Earl Hagen, choreographed by Kurt Browning
SP: Satan Takes a Holiday composed by Larry Clinton (the article doesn't mention who choreographed this program, but it should be David Wilson)
From the same IN article (Aug 23):
Denis Ten
Carroll is ecstatic about Ten's new programs, a short to Saint-Saens' "Danse Macabre" and free to Shostakovich's "Lady and the Hooligan," both choreographed by Nichol.
LOL, it is not hot-off-the-press news, but I do not see Ten's programs posted earlier in the thread.![]()

The problem is Hanyu has expressed more than once that he does not want to skate to the old SP. He has been wanting a new SP. But again and again Orser and Co. persuades him to skate to the old SP. That’s why many Hanyu fans don’t like this.If they have a record breaking program that they are comfortable with and still want to do, why not? It's not like it wasn't done before. How many times did Sasha Cohen use Dark Eyes? Michelle Kwan also used her Feeling Begins and Rachmaninov programs for more than one season.
In this case, the analysis of the scenario is that Orser has assured his potential OGM student – as he stated - the same opportunity he assured Yuna in Vancouver , where they were successful and won.
On the other side, Orser has chosen the recycling policy for the student which he believes is not an OGM contender, no matter the pupil had asked for a new SP.
Different strategies and treatments for different skaters who have different potentials in Orser’s mind.![]()
This has nothing to do with potential. Most people know that Hanyu has potential to win OGM. Sadly this is more politics and money. For example, Brian Orser, Jeffrey Buttle, and Javier Fernandez all belong to IMG. Hanyu does not. IMG has been pursuing Hanyu since last year, but Hanyu does not want to be part of IMG. This is why Fernandez gets all the IMG support and can go to Japan Open and make a documentary to be shown on NBC. Since IMG still can’t get Hanyu until now, it’s not a surprise that Orser and Co. are favoring Fernandez. Remember what IMG did that also made Yuna leave Orser, just because Yuna was not in IMG. I don’t think it’s a surprise IMG and Orser can do similar things again. If this is true, it's a WRONG strategy: we all know that Hanyu is a potential OGM contender as much as Javier (SP WR twice last season!), last year he had some health problems in the most important competitions, if it wasn't for that he could have easily been 4CC champion and on the Worlds podium, next year both Yuzuru and Javier could be OGM if Chan/Takahashi/Plushy have an off-day... (but I don't think it is true, I want to believe that FS is not all about politics and strategy)
