2013-2014 Programs by Discipline

Well, I don't really like it :slink: I didn't feel anything watching it, just jump/strange arm movements/jump/cross-overs/cross-overs/jump/spin... I don't know, but the best part of it were the last 30 seconds, maybe he doesn't really feel the music yet, but if she skates it like this on the international stage I don't expect his PCS to be really high... The choreography of the first 4 minutes just looks completely unrelated to the music :no:
I think it's pretty obvious it's not finished yet, and in the beginning he just marks elements and even choreo movements with "need to remember the order" look on his face. So I was surprised when by the end of it he turned to actually performing.

same arm movements, I expect the same from Tuk
Adelina will have the best choreography again in Russia, too bad her jumps are so unstable
Mishin let her work in her favourite style probably for the sake of holding her mentally stable and confident. If she worries too much at her age, it'll bring no bonuses.

Hubbell/Donohue
- SD: Their short dance [at Skate Detroit], which like all others this season features the Finnstep pattern dance, included a Charleston to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy's "Diga Diga Doo;" a foxtrot to "Fever;" and a closing quickstep to "Mr. Pinstripe Suit."
"We're doing some re-arranging next week," Hubbell said. "We're swapping the first and third quicksteps around, so we will start with the Finnstep. We're taking out 'Fever' and adding 'Maddest Kind of Love' (by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy)."
- FD: violinist Lucia Micarelli's "Bohemian Rhapsody in Nocturne"
Regarding Hubbell's injury (previously discussed in the GS Injuries thread): she was off the ice for six weeks after hitting her head in a training fall May 29, resuming the semblance of a training schedule the first week of July. "I had post-concussive syndrome," the 22-year-old said. "I struggled with balance, memory and headaches for a while."

Coomes/Buckland
- SD: Fred Astaire's "I Won't Dance" and music from alternative hip-hop group Jurassic 5
- FD: music from the King of Pop, Michael Jackson
Coomes and Buckland will debut their programs at the U.S. International Figure Skating Classic in Salt Lake City in September.
Their 2013 Worlds FD brought to light that Buckland had a medical issue requiring implantation of a cardiac monitor. "It's just underneath my skin, at the top of my chest," he said. "It's the size of a USB memory stick and monitors my heart's activity."

U.S. novice champions Chloe Lewis/Logan Bye, who make their JGP debut this season at JGP Mexico
- SD: medley including "Call Me Irresponsible"
- FD: Schindler's List and "Hava Nagila"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Kriengkrairut/Giulietti-Schmitt SD: selections from Caro Emerald.
ETA, correction: "set to pieces including “That Man” from Caro Emerald" is the verbatim quote from the description at the link below.
- Davis/Brubaker FS: Umbrellas of Cherbourg
Purdy/Marinaro
- SP: “Unchained Melody”
- FS: Casablanca
Just read the article. How unfortunate for Madison. To be off the ice for 6 weeks before the Olympic season--tough. I hope they can recover and get a senior B. I love Madi & Zach, there's definitely something special about them.
Regarding Hubble/Donohue FD to "Bohemian Rhapsody in Nocturne" ...
I wish someone would skate to Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen!:laugh::laugh:
Now THAT would be out of the box!
All joking aside, I really like this team, and I wish them well during their recovery.
Actually, skating to no matter which song by Queen would be awesome! :rock:
I can sticky it if I put it in Reference-I planned to put it there after it fell off the front page in a regular way, something that hasn't happened yet.
