Omg josh at the press conference is super nervous he doesn't know what to say! Cute.
:agree:Hope Josh and Jason skate clean in the LP. They showed tonight that they belong with the big boys. I see both of them passing up some of the skaters ahead of them in the next 2 years. They are the future of US Mens skating.
Lots of discussion about Jeremy and his quad ( mid January)

I think Josh and Jason have more potential then Rippon. Evan went to his first Worlds at 19. If Josh is good enough to go then he should go. I don't see the US getting that 3rd spot back no matter who goes to be honest.Loved the backstage interviews with Tanith, and the social scene tidbits with Tonia. Sean Rabbitt sure speaks very good Japanese. His hair and William Brewster's hair are so red!
The press conference was definitely underwhelming in terms of the lack of good questions and follow-ups. There were a couple of good ones, but the reporters could sure do a better job. None of them even brought up the interesting fact of how Jeremy found out he had to rework one of his spins because it was illegal. He found out during one of the practice sessions. If that isn't worthy of a question at a press conference, I don't know what is. Surely they could have asked more and better questions of these guys. I think Ross gave a very good answer to a kind of DUH question about why he felt he was "tentative" during his program. I thought all the top guys skated well under the circumstances of the intense pressure.
I really like Josh, but I'd rather see Dornbush, Rippon and Armin above him because Josh and Jason have more time left in their skating careers and can afford to wait a bit longer before being rushed onto the World stage (unlike Maxim Kovtun of Russia, I suppose since his fed is so intent on rushing him).
Very sad for Armin. He didn't skate his best, but I think he was also a bit dumped on in the scoring. At this point, my fave podium would be Jeremy, Ross, Adam, Richard, and then Josh, Max, Jason. It'll be difficult for Armin now, but if he skates well in the fp, he should be able to pull up more.

brb.........don't let me down, Youtube. I have GOT to see this!
Josh!
I know you can't compare PCS from one competition to another but I was just briefly looking at the scores from 2012 sp and jeremy's PCS scores were in the high 8's to 9's with total of 44.45...This year it went down to high 7-high 8's....Miner's actually went up....I guess the judges are not giving jeremy a lot of cushion here this year?
Any vids yet?
