I think he honestly expected lower. To be honest, I think his PCS was at least 2 points too high for a flawed performance.

I know it was a rough skate for Hanyu, but he really seems to have improved his posture and carriage. But that score is a gift.

This program has so much potential, and his stsq was amazing. Too bad it wasn't as great today and he looked really cautious with his spins too
