Actually I think it's a very fitting song for Sergei. He really did things his way this season and made it work!
Good point.
But I have always thought that "My Way" is the perfect song to use as your swansong before you retire. So every time I hear it, I think "are they trying to subtly tell us something...?"
And I don't want Sergei to retire just yet!

Well colour me disappointed, he really should have, I love spectacles
and Amazing Grace is a very safe choice, nice, but not memorable

I'm still pulling for Max and Maddie to do a fun ex together some time. Clearly Max is capable of the lifts, at least!

The "New York, New York" number from WTT2013 was sloppily choreographed, but at least it was fun. This was...boring.

But, I guess they checked that it was OK with them before the routine was put together.

To be fair, Amazing Grace is played in a lot of non-religious settings. but I guess because I am a church going person, I can't help but think of it as a hymn.

BTW, not Max and Ashley's first on-ice lift together.
They did one for Skate for Hope a couple of years ago
.And we've seen Max lift quite a few ladies (and at least one man, LOL) off ice: most recently, Madi Chock; Jeremy Ten; Vale Marchei; Kirsten M-T, Hannah Miller .. I'm forgetting someone, I'm sure ...

He does muck around with them a fair bit. There was a great shot out of CoR where he was lifting J10.
