2015 Worlds Ladies Short Program March 26

No chance to see Kiira, Eveline, or Brooklee skate their LPs... Angelina falls twice, Soyoun messes up the 3F, Haejin does okay but the scores just aren't there... A rough night.

Though I must say thank you to Alaine, for rescuing these early groups.

So Youn will be at least 15th......... 2nd to last group in the free :(

Well, 2nd group in the free (2nd to last would be the 3rd group). And who knows? Not to jinx anybody, but many skaters in this fourth group haven't been the most consistent this season either.

Honestly I don't care about how many spots SK might be getting next year. I just want her to skate like there's no tomorrow in the FS event!

I agree, it baffles me to this day. Apparently appearing balletic and graceful is no longer something that gets you high PCS. :rolleye:

Well lets be honest here. So Youn did not deliver here today and other than 2 out of 3 jumps she didn't really stomp and perform anything with superior execution. When the music picked up for the StSeq she just kind of glided through it. Maybe this isn't the best choice of music for her. I hate pointing out negatives on skaters because there is almost always more good than bad to say but to be fair I'd have Haijin ahead of So Youn on just about everything and you guys are going on and on about her like she wuzrobbed. Why?

I see no need to compare her to someone not skating here today.

if there's no top 10 for so young, what will happen to korea's spots? korea back to the dark ages?

Drag Yuna Kim out of retirement? Going by the way things are trending, Soyoun Park will not be Korea's hope for 2018. The mental goods just aren't there.

What an awful event so far.

43.61 (so far) is enough to have made the top 24 cut this year. Last year it was 49.34.

Kudos to Chartrand for leading the pack, but these last two flight have a lot of redemption to do.

If So Youn manages top 12 (just like what Alaine needs to do for Canada), Korea gets 2 spots for next year too.

Their juniors look solid to me......there is a skater who's doing 3Lo-3Lo right now, so if dark ages do happen....it won't be for long I hope

Top 12 will keep 2 spots if Haejin doesn't move up to place 15th or higher. But yes right now they are at risk of losing a spot.

Haejin has way more projection and connection with the audience, though Soyoun has more technical goods. I agree that Rondo Capriciosso isn't the best choice for her. That music needs to be ATTACKED with passion and energy. She skates it like she's skating to a delicate Chopin piece.

I really hope she can do it. I've pretty much given up on Haejin, but there's other strong talents waiting to enter senior level competition.
