2015 Worlds Men Short Program March 27

My god!!!!! Japan 3 spots are in huge risk!!

And here all of Team Japan fans were worrying about the womens when we should have really been worrying about the men!! :drama: This season has been too weird. We need a fresh start ASAP.

Yeah, at the end of the day he's a 19-year-old kid who was held up one too many times (not his fault), is trying his best to get better, and I think the pressure is crushing him. And the meme about him being some kind of hateful monster is ridiculous. There are so many young skaters who say/do similar things on social media, yet none of them get called out the way he does. He's just a simple "good average" skater who loves his (adorable) dog.
well he's russian & I always expect this reaction to our ppl on intl forums so its nothing new for me personally & I usually let it slide but its a bit tiring ...:hopelessness:
+ I always tend to root for the hated so:p
Hopefully Adian will step up & make some progress next season.

But following the same logic.. If there were blue swastikas used in Europe (or basically, used by anyone who is not a buddhist)... you don't think that would offend people? I too, think the fan with that banner, is not out to spur Japanese nationalism and hate on China, but it's worth considering one's choice in banners..
Maybe, maybe not. But I wouldn't think it was a deliberate act to offend anyone since if they wanted to be offensive they would at least have done it in the same colours.

Exactly! I know people my age (Which is also his exact age as well. And I mean EXACT) they can be immature. Like seriously. Maxim is not a 25 year old man. He's a 19 year old guy. Everyone needs to give him a break. I feel bad for him for that SP.

Seriously, he's not a monster! Though I admit I can't read Russian so I don't understand what he's saying on social media including Facebook.

Some people are thinking of him to be something he's not. And it needs to stop.

Sometimes I feel like he's the Justin Bieber of figure skating. What I mean is that people seem to love to hate him.

For the record, I don't hate Maxim, he's not my taste, but he's not so bad. But the PCS he gets for every competition are possibly the most absurd of any skater imo. I can't see how he gets those, I really can not.

Uno didn't want to compete in Sr, why would JSF force him to? Let's say that he competed and bombed it, I bet we would have blamed JSF. Machida retired (again, why would JSF force hin?). Dice is just as inconsistent as Mura. Kozuka finished 3rd in National, he deserved his spot. Shoma is projected to be the next star (I think), id they put too much pressure on him, he might crumble. In my opinion, JSF made the correct and wise choice.

Don't agree with this. The only three reliable skaters for Japan at worlds would have been Hanyu, Machida (not an option, but JSF should have tried harder and treated him better) and Uno. Kozuka has three bad skates for every good skate. Mura has been struggling. JSF got what was obviously probable.

Maybe Jason should consider doing either his 3a or 3f-3t in the second half of the program next year. He would've gotten the 3rd highest TES if he did so. Also, he deserves a higher SS considering what the other men are getting...

Javi's excellent combo received the same GOE as Hanyu's so and so 3-3. Even among the frontrunners the judges love to play favorite.

He also left some points on the table with a level 3 spin and not getting +3s (which he can get) on his spins or steps.

He was about 1.8 points from his TES PB from Trophee Eric Bompard (45.98) which was a similar layout to this one.

That said I can see him moving his 3f-3t, as it is his best element, next season (not so much today.. but usually.).

Didn't watch it live. Now can someone explain to me why Michael Christian's skating skills are in 6s? I mean for the love of god. :bang:

I have yet to watch Kovtun, and I'm sorry if his skating (aside from his jumps which are usually great) has been stupendously amazing, but I don't see it. I don't see why his is in the 8s.

That bad, huh?

At least this time he wasn't the sole representative like in 2013, so that should be a bit of a relief. But really... popping jumps is really bad (imo) - it just signals "I give up". Just go for the full rotation and eat the fall! More real points from judges and brownie points from me. ;)
