Wouldn't make sense to comment now as we don't know how that might add dimension to the piece.

I've watched this a couple times now and one word comes to mind; dreary. Here's to hoping the final minute is a bit more upbeat.

I'm kinda disappointed, as it looks like they are trying to go in a modern direction, but that music.....
How can they train with that day in and day out, it would drive me crazy?
I hope the last minute of the music brings it to some kind of conclusion, as the first 3 mins are kinda repetitive.

It reminds me of Weaver/Poje's FD (which I didn't like, to be honest) from last season for some reason. And I actually think it has a lot of potential. The rink was very small, but they still managed to do most of the elements. And they added third twizzle, yay! I'm optimistic about this dance, I remember people said their 'A Man with a Harmonica' was too monotonous and repetitive too.

Anyway, does anyone have a link for their music in HD quality? The video version is far from good.

Well, I've been thinking this for awhile: it looks like Exogenesis may be this year's POTO. It won't bother me; I enjoyed many of the 2014-15 POTOs because they were all different -- and I absolutely adored Kayne/O'Shea's 2015-16 Music of the Night and watch it frequently. Exogenesis is a gorgeous complex piece and may be even more open to subtly different choreographies, but I can imagine the moaning and groaning to come around here.

Charlotte VANDERSARREN of Belgium is brave to skate to Firebird right after Gracie's FB was memorable for a variety of reasons. On the other hand, she might be able to interpret it in a way that makes it meaningful and fresh. But it's such big, memorable music, I don't know. Still, I firmly believe in skaters choosing music that means something to them in that moment in time, i.e. Tarah and Danny. Doing so can carry their expression forward by leaps and bounds.

The only music that I think will send me screaming out of the room is Sing, Sing, Sing. Just goes to show, everyone's limits are different.

Both teams already skated their programs at the first JGP in St. Gervais, France, as you can see. You can find the videos on YouTube. Also, three teams from those skating in this one competition used the Harley Remhart version of Seven Nation Army for their SDs. One of the "versions" is attributed to Postmodern Jukebox, but to me it sounded like the same singer.

I like their FD straight line lift a lot, and the clever variation on the pairs combination spin.

But I love:luv17::luv17: the SD. I'll be following this couple now. Kuzmich/Sinicyn

It's the part of their new FD? She said they found 3 min piece, so this is probably it. There's only one step sequence and no choreographic elements. I wonder if the last minute will be more dynamic or if they will continue with the same tempo. But they're clearly in shape this time, I remember last season thay looked much worse in August.

I loathe the music--what? Chopin isn't good enough for you that you have to overlay this New Age crap on top of it--but there's a wonderful rotational lift in there and some interesting choreography. My interest is Officially Piqued.

So it's not Chopin, or what? Is it mixed up with something? I don't understand. And I can't listen to it at work to make sure.

Edit: I get your post now. Shame on me, I wasn't familiar with original piece : But at least it's better than Sarabande, if you know what I'm talking about Anyway, I'm so optimistic about this season for them! And they should change the descend from this rotational lift. Not very elegant, and not very GOE friendly. Hopefully work will be done.

The Haley Reinhart and Postmodern Jukebox versions of "Seven Nation Army" are the same thing. She's one of their recurring vocalists.

Sima's music is from one of the most depressing dog-related films I have ever seen. It's the one where the dude dies and his dog waits for him at the train station to come home every day until it dies, too. I couldn't even finish it, it was so sad so hopefully I will be able to finish this program without bursting into tears .

I was pleasantly surprised by Liza's music. While in the whole it feels a little empty (not the choreo, but both Liza and the music do not exactly hold my attention) at least it does not overwhelm her (and my ears) like last season's.

I think this program is in a painful contrast with the exquisite choreo & interpretation by P/C
Liza's arm movements are same for every program she skates
So far very depressing
