I had to laugh. When they sat down, Maksim grabbed a hold of Natalia's hand, and then planted his other hand on the hot coach's leg ( ). She (the coach) looked very uncomfortable with this, but when the score was announced, she instantly forgot and started jumping up and down like mad with them!

The coach is Sylwia Nowak-Trębacka, and she was quite good ice dancer herself, so being pretty is given But yes. the scene was funny

I know we still have 2 groups to go, but so far my last-minute predictions are looking pretty good. Maybe I should place more emphasis on my gut feeling more often...

Although, I am kicking myself that I didn't put Kavita and Joti higher. I would have put them higher, except that I thought that the judges wouldn't score them as well because they are new.

That will go into the lead, but interesting that the tech score isn't all THAT much higher than the Israelis. But they'll get a big PCS boost.

Actually, I think S/K's TES scores were very high (especially for the SD, where they have struggled in the GP series). What I suspect is happening is that Tobias/Tkachenko have pulled a typical Shpilband special: Hitting almost every level. So I imagine that their TES score will be comparable or higher to some pairs who'll stay ahead of them overall.

And whee S/K! Sounds like they skated very well!

Thank you. I just looked her up, and she retired around the time I first started watching skating. So, I have an excuse for not knowing her. :agree:

Seeing her now, she must have retired very young...

I'd say that is pretty much spot on. S/K definitely got a Euro boost.
