Why don't you see Yuna's many URs? Stop being one-sided and turning a blind eye to Yuna's URs.

I rewatched in slo-mo. Yes, some of Yuna's landings are very suspicious. Same as her edge on lutz. Then I believe all the outrage "wuzrobbed" is inadequate. Although I liked her program - may be the first Yuna's program I liked.

yes, this change of layout clearly hurt her chances, her only good 3-3 is the loop2X and she needs to do it solo loop in SP.

What is the new sp rule - can't repeat a triple. IS this for seniors too? If so that may hurt Caroiine Zhang's comeback.

little OT: I think Samodurova was wrongly assessed by RusFed (and thereby announced to Japan, where she lost her chances for the final). Now is obvious that she is better than: Lozko, Nugumanova and Konstantinova, but in effect she got less points than these ones...

There was nothing wrong with the judging in Saransk and Yokohama. It's just delusions and bitterness take over the forum. :rolleye:

And the fear. Fear of Marin Honda. I can smell it almost everywhere.

Lol, good trolling

Agree, especially Lozko, whose entire jumping technique seems shaky.
Konstantinova cannot do a 2A.
Nugumanova needs more power.

Free skate is the most important and points-heavy determinant of the outcome in singles. Marin scored WR 128.71 with serious mistake, Polina 114.71. 14 points difference is another level in figure skating.
Marin is clearly the best junior skater atm. Widać to gołym okiem. :)

You can't win in the short program but you can lose in the short program. The total score is most important, and if Marin did a 55point sp again even with a spectacular free skate like in Yokohama, even Rika Kihira with a fall on the 3A in the free skate could have beaten her. Polina may or may not be back, hopefully she will be by the jgpf (assuming she gets in) so we can see a proper showdown between them since the last jgpf.

What a difference a week makes! You had a heavy weight fight last week in Yokohama and I was really excited about figure skating, but this week not so much! Polina looked like Ali the other day, she skated lights out but couldnt come close to repeating her same performance. I'm in Salt Lake watching the Senior ladies earlier today and the JGP via live feed and I cant help but feeling let down all around. The sloppiness and inconsistency is alarming from one side of the world to the other.

well, I have not been impressed with any of the new junior russian ladies, but if I had to pick one of them, I'd pick Samodurova. I think they sent her to Yokohama because they thought she could compete with Marin and Kaori, which I think she can. But they outperformed her. For third place in Yokohama, it was a toss between her and the other Japanese girl that finished 3rd, I apologize I forgot her name, as I am seeing many of these new junior skaters for the first time.

Personally, I think no one should fear the HONDA. She is an excellent threat, so to say, and competitor, but so are the Russian girls:) The competition will be VERY interesting this year. Last year the winner was predictable (Polina) before she withdrew from JW. This year there is no open door for any mistakes for Marin and other girls - they have to prove they are the best among the best. All of them are so close (Zagitova, Honda, Tsurskaya). Still, I believe, if Polina does 100% of what she can - she will win no matter what. She is the most progressed skater out there, the full package for sure. Honda is exquisite too, but her jumps are not WOW like Polina's, and their pcs are somewhat close.

"Fear The Honda!" - love it. :agree:
In my opinion, on artistic level Marin progresses more than Polina, plus she is healthy.

Not quite the top quality Free Skate I was expecting. Polina is the deserved winner overall, after all her injury troubles over the last while she has made a great return to competition. The height in her jumps is amazing, I would struggle to think of a senior lady as impressive. I really like her spins, her flying camel with her long limbs really stood out for me. I was a bit disappointed with her short, skated brilliantly but the costume nor choreo really captured GOT for me.

I think Nugumanova is a great performer but her jumps need work which is the opposite of what I would expect for someone from Team Mishin. She skates with real joy and delight, not sure where she will go in a deep Russian field. I thought she was marked from a TES point of view, some of those jumps were very close to been under rotated but only the 3Lz was called. I thought Konstantinova was skating well till her stumble and then lost a bit of focus after that. I like her style it's a bit different to other junior ladies but it's all the better for it, I think she should make the JGPF.

Oh I see them, the same way I see them on Nagasu and my all time favorite Takahashi. My problem is she could still have won but, for christ sake call them so the girl could go home and do her homework. She is still very young and can remedied her technique.
