I blame two straight years worth of injuries. I'm hoping she grows out of her condition soon so she can focus on getting better height on her jumps and improving the duration of her spins. She really is a beautiful skater, though.

yes, it hard to believe that a skater with her physique has low jumps and spin issue. very possibly is due to grow pains. She grew a lot this year comparing to last year.

That and she has osgood schlatter and broke her ankle last year. She's definately grown, but having osgood would make it very difficult to improve her jumping technique. It's really sad. When she was 10, her layback was like a Pearl Spin and so fast. Now she can't even manage a biellmann or hold the position in the hair cutter. Not to mention she may an over bearing mother. Maybe she's not that bad, but she didn't come across well on her interview.

Polina has huge jumps, but her arms/upper body can get a little wild looking. Also, could these millisecond-long spiral positions cease to exist, please?
Anyways, I'm nitpicking. She really is wonderful. Wish she had a different coach.
