2016 Russian Junior Nationals Pairs SP

The 2016 Russian Junior Championships (Russian: Первенство России среди юниоров 2016) will be held in Chelyabinsk from January19-24, 2016. Competitors may qualify by competing in the Russian Cup series' junior-level events. The results in part are used to select the Youth Olympic Games and Junior Worlds teams.

Really looking forward to this competition. I expect the top two to be A/S and B/S but I'm not sure who will come out on top. The battle for 3rd will be interesting, I like G/S programmes this year but they will have a fight on their hands to be U/V, M/M and P/K. There is 6 very strong teams aiming for 3 places to Junior Worlds. Whatever happens it will be a very strong Russian team.

B/S are my favourites here. M/M have been really consistent so far and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they beat A/S. Although M/M are fully capable of winning this, I don't think they will but I do expect them to be at the TOP 3. Hopefully Amina will do a lot better than what she did at the JGPF because if she doesn't A/S might not make it to the Junior Worlds. I would be surprised if G/S would make it to the Junior Worlds. They might beat U/V but I doubt they will beat M/M or the other top pairs. The same goes for P/K also. The way I see it is that U/V is the only one who can upset the three favourites here. I don't think they will but they are capable of doing it.

I think given their age and relative inexperience these two captured the character of the tango pretty well, but their elements are kind of small in general.
