2016 Trophée de France Ladies SP

I feared the worst before that axel. Anastasia was slowing down so much on the entry :drama:

Exquisite program though, graceful.

But her 3lutz-3 toe was fine right? or maybe not.. 56.92 in eight place

Oh well, she is only 17, I hope she fights on and manages her jumps without URs :)

I think if she does less making fists, the program would look better because the concept seems like a butterfly. Nice GP debut.

Alfred Schnittke was such a crazy artist, you need to portray that craziness on the ice, I like the program but to me it requires more expression.

I would love to see Anna Pogorilaya with that music for a short program. (she did it the Tango as an ex program last season and it was beautiful)

11 Yuka NAGAI (JPN)

Music: Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra (from "Ladies in Lavender" soundtrack) by Nigel Hess

Purple one-shoulder dress

3S+2T - turn inbetween
3Lo

No 3-3 and costly pop. Her SP is really giving her problems this season

SP: 24.64+27.77 = 52.41 (SB), 11/11

I have just come to the conclusion that chiffon skirts hung from a relatively high waist aren't a good choice.

Both Galustyn and Nagai's costumes appear quite modest when they are still, but the skirts are flipped up and bunched above their waists much of the time...especially during rotations....

Distracting to me, and not in a good way

As amazing as Evgenia is.....I think she's going to be inflated past both the much talked about TES of Elizaveta and more notably the PCS of Kostner, by the end of the season. Funny that people were thinking that the latter wouldn't happen this season, because from where I am it seems like she's going to do the Trump.

My exact thoughts, too. :bang:
A performance shouldn't be scored higher just because it was at an event later in the season. If it so, then it is the evidence why the scoring is subjective.

If it continues like this, she will get 81-82 points at Worlds next year. :angry1:

TAT says Medvedeva has added difficulty to her elements...

Personally she does stand out in terms of execution, interpretation and especially transitions... most of the girls just go from element to another.

What's for today's performances...I'd have Sotskova below Laurine in PCS.

Nah, that axel wasn't a mistake, she saw Yuzuru doing a delayed axel and she thought "i can do this too" :coffee:
