What do you think will happen with Mirai's boots.....?

It will depend on what the problem is. The good thing is that basically all of the best boot technicians in the US will be there, so it shouldn't be a problem to get it fixed. Initially I thought she'd broken a lace or bent a hook out of shape, which would have been an easy fix, but clearly it's worse than that.

I'm on IN with a LAN Cable and it is working fine. The Chromebook with WiFi is painful...Hiccups and freezes. IN has been a problem with WiFi for all of the Nationals. Never had an IN Problem for the Grand Prix events.

Hopefully she has another pair with her. In fact, She BETTER have another pair. She and her coach have been around long enough to know that boots have problems. Blades snap.. Didn't that happen to Tonya Harding somewhere?

Maybe placed in a figure skating museum, warning young skaters what can happen to your boots if you used them too much without changing.

Centering is not relevant to spin levels, only GOE. However, if she did not get into the position within two revolutions at the start of the spin, that could affect the level.

It will depend on what the problem is. The good thing is that basically all of the best boot technicians in the US will be there, so it shouldn't be a problem to get it fixed. I personally think they'll tape it real good for the sake of one long program..... if the tear is not too big. I hope she won't have to change boots..... is it her left or right boot?

she only got a level 3 for her layback, which usually is a 4...however, she still received pretty decent GOE (+1.29)
