2016 Youth Olympic Games, 12-21 Feb

For the first time at the Winter YOG, live coverage will be available through the IOC’s YouTube channel www.youtube.com/Olympics, along with daily on-demand coverage of the sporting action and the festivals happening around Lillehammer, showcasing some of the biggest names in music, arts and culture.

Tuesday 16.02.16
FIGURE SKATING Ice Dance* 12:25 14:35
FIGURE SKATING Ladies* 14:55 18:08

(Lillehammer local times listed above are +6hrs ahead of USA EST & +9hrs ahead of USA PST when converting times).

It appears the above skating events are the only ones to be webcast Live. Assuming all the other skating events will be available on-demand on the IOC's Youtube channel. Will provide more information when available.

Hi. Do you know what they mean by on-demand?? I read the website but didn't understand how it works.
 
"On demand" means the video is/will be archived and can be played any time, at least until the website owner decides to take it down
 
Hi. Thank you for the answer.
I was wondering if we could watch the performances which will not be in live streaming by on-demand system.
I e-mailed to the YOG committee and they said that they are NOT going to upload the performances of all the skaters. So it's unlikely that we'll be able to watch the Pair , Men's event, SD and ladies SP.
 
I saw this on the Russian fed's VK page: Сетка каналов пока еще не сформирована, поэтому информацию о трансляциях мы добавим позже.

The Grid channels are not yet formed, so the information on the broadcasts, we will add later.

I don't know how to interpret this, but maybe there will be another option to watch?

Sorry to be a pain, but what time does the first event start in the U.S. (I'm in Pacific)? (I've looked everywhere but I can't find the schedule.)

The Event Overview page on ISU Results has a link to the Coloured Time Schedule PDF.

All times are in Central European Time, so take away 9 hours to get Pacific Standard Time.

So, tomorrow's Pairs SP starts at 14:00 CET, which is 05:00 PST.

Did anybody recognise anybody when the athletes were coming in?

Most of them were so well wrapped up that you couldn't have recognised them! :laugh:

But at least it didn't take all night bringing them in, like it does at the "Senior" Games.
