When I first saw it, I didn't think yellow suited her. But, it has grown on me.

But that would also mean that all current skaters are better than the past skaters - and we all know that this isn't true. Different times, rules, developments make different skaters/performances.I didn't mean it in any big wayJust that after a while, especially when there are fans who will not have seen her skating, looking at her scores you'd think 'Ah, she was at her best here, her past performances must have been less impressive'. That's how I look at skaters that came before my time. When I want to see how they skated, I look at their best scores/placements. Inflation makes it difficult to see which performances were really the best. Man am I bad at expressing my thoughts
I know some will easily say things like "He/She is the best ever!" but we all surely know better. That said, this was a very good skate, great step sequence, nice jumps, more interesting spins than in the past, I like that she looks really reliable now. She's done this SP three times this season in competition and her jumps were always clean (ok, maybe hand down on one jump). That's pretty good for her. In the past I was often a little frightened when I watched her going into her jumps, I feel totally confident now.

(Although, to be fair, during last year's GP in Sochi, I could have sworn I saw a couple of Ice Dancers wandering through the paddock during qualifying. Unfortunately, I can't remember who they were now.)

I also think that Med will crack 80 today. Not sure how they will score Maria Sotskova if clean. Maybe around Caro's score, but I'm not a 100% convinced that Europe will treat her that well. Anna if clean should also be around that margin, maybe she can make it to 75 if squeaky clean.
