2017 GP Cup of China Mens FS

i like the audiance reactions a lot. chinese seem to engange much more than in past. and they are screaming for their team. i like a lot

Yeah, they're getting as good as the Japanese, which is great!

I think they may lead in gasps (both of horror and of admiration).

Oh man, I was about to say "At least there's no lyrics" but nope here they are.

I like Grant's 3LzLo3S. One of the relatively few skaters whose half loop actually looks like a jump and not a step-out.

This was me while watching his first GP this season
Now I was mentally prepared!

This is a nice edit of Phantom at least... at least better singer than Gerard Butler. Colm Wilkinson? (best jean valjean)

Yeah, half the time I can't figure out if they meant to do that or not,

Although that combo has only seem to come along in the past couple of seasons, maybe some skater was stepping out a lot and realised "Hey! This'll cover it!"

I so wanted Grant to at least go cleanish. I enjoy his 80s/90s skating. He really embraces that Paul Wylie spread eagle.

Grant Hochstein

Oh no, a pop on the 4S. A bit shaky on 3A landing but got a 2T on the end of it. Fall on 4T, not sure if fully rotated. And another pop on the intended 3A into a 1A. Good comeback with 3Lz+1Lo+3S (might be <). Good 3Lo. Shaky 3F but not visible landing. Nice choreo sequence with the change-of-edge spread eagles. Only a 1T on the last combo.

It's so frustrating, because I know Hochstein can skate better than this. Hard to deliver on the promise of POTO with all the mistakes. Aw well...

Btw, anyone know what that jump is called when a skater jumps with both legs stretched forward? It's not a split jump, but something close?

I was gonna say something...but yeah...WTH?

Grant trained hard to be here, the British commentators just mentioned that he has to coach others a lot, so some respect needs to be given.

Also he has a lovely spread eagle!

i like grant. always nice to watch. he left lot on the table today unfortunately.

this coreo sequense with change edge spread eagle is to die for!

Go Vincent redeeem... no more pressures, rookie mistake! (Marin had one too)
