There's this crazy proposal that perhaps Medvedeva just legitimately is stronger in PCS categories than Osmond is.

I would say that this applies to the FPs usually, but comparing this season's short programme's of Medvedeva and Osmond it is beyond me that the other receives much higher marks. I just don't understand it no matter how objectively i try to view the programmes.

And she got like 64. The fact that people are complaining about a mid-60's score is telling that it was their favs that disappointed, not Courtney being over scored.

Alright, that's a fair point. Still respect for no repeats for her, however.

2 biggest disappointments here was that 1 that Osmond should have scored higher - more like 78 with that skate! And 2nd that Alaine really seems to be regressing in her skating. If she does make it to the Olympics as CAN # 3 she may be hard pressed to make it past the Short Program. It is not so much her placement but the low score that tells the tale. She just is not ready for this season and is no where near the form she was at when she won Canadians a couple years ago.

Even worse!! Well, it wasn't a disaster but Ashley is rarely given any leeway for mistakes. I hope to God she pulls it together tomorrow.

Congrats to the top three (and Courtney, too!) on a job well done. Anna got it together and looks well. Masha is on point but could improve. Courtney is starting to build a case for that third American ladies spot (and besting the two others who were presumed to be on top, too), and Kaetlyn absolutely delivering it today!

Well, I certainly didn't expect Courtney to be the top American or for Marin Honda to be in 10th place. Guess that is what keeps skating interesting.

Exactly. Some real upsets.
My biggest happiness is that Anna skated clean. Was half a year since she had done that last international competition and this will help her put that behind her.

I feel for Marin, though.

Get your eyes checked. Not "everyone". Anna was a little unpolished and so was Masha but hardly "really" off.

So Chartrand's dreck got almost the same PCS as Kailani, and Austman's dreck got a little less than 2 points lower than Kailani on PCS.

I don't have enough eyerolls.

Kaetlyn's SP is a repeat, so there is no reason to bomb it since it had success last season and the reason to ditch her new sp she had in the summer is that this one works for her.

The same may be said for Ashley except...........

LOL NO. she was clean and suberb. All of the Canadian ladies were judged fairly tonight can't say the same for COP though
