2017 GP Skate Canada Ladies SP

Very good but 76? Her 3T Landing looked questionable and the axle Landing was tight. For a 76 those should be perfect. I don't get it

She lost a lot of points on her combo and spins. I'm not sure what happened... the combo looked good in practice...

Maybe first competition nerves?? In all honesty I'd rather she has weak finishes now then at nationals...but would also
Love to see her in Grand Prix final...

I must watch Kaetlyn again and again and again!!!:love::love: I hope it's on YouTube already!

For some reason as Ryan Bradley said last year, I don't get nervous when Kaetlyn skates. Not to worry, I will have an ugly cry later on YouTube, and it won't be pretty.

Amazing jumps from Osmond today! Holding that edge to show that the three rotations are fully-rotated and clean. I'm still a little weirded out by how the music drops halfway through her footwork sequence since it stops the audience from clapping with her and carrying that momentum to the end. But this was still the best she could have performed that program this early in the season.

What an exhilarating competition! Congrats to all the ladies for minimal falls!

I'm so happy that my faves skated well (mostly), Laurine, Karen and Anna. Especially Anna. I was so nervous for her, she has actually made my day <3 and I'm so glad Laurine changed her short program as I wasn't feeling the earlier one.

Congrats to Maria Sotskova too, that was a great performance and beautiful jumps. And of course Kaetlyn Osmond. She looked so assured out there.

Must give kudos to the panel at Skate Canada today for keeping inflation at a minimum and not boosting Kaetlyn's scores to crazy heights even they had every excuse to. Could we have these guys for every competition please?

I don't suppose there is anyone at the event that is bilingual (Japanese and English)?

I think this skate will light a spark under Ashley. I think she will move up on Rika. Let's see how Courtney holds up. I think Karen is excited to debut her new skate. I remain nervous for Anna, though as I sense some fragility for a longer skate. Maria should be her steady self.

Anna was really off IMO. Her usual presentation just was not there.

Definitely concur there. She didn't have the same spark. It's like she's fighting to not bomb, like she has before, instead of performing through the movements. Maybe it's just a matter of confidence-building across the season.

Kailani's 3Lo-3Lo was called 3Lo-3Lo<<.

Still should have had significantly higher PCS than the two Canadian ladies below her...oh wait...forgot...Skate Canada...

Well done Anna. That was a great skate. She looked nervous. Did she miss the bielman? I like the choreo.

Not a bad score, was kinda hoping for 70+

I love Anna, but she can certainly be happy with the 69 points she got. Yes, her jumps were clean, but that program needs a lot of polish. I thought Camerlengo choreographed it...I assume it is because Anna is skating cautiously because of her older injury. She can engage better, she can skate sharper, she can be better at each and every element. So no, I don't think it was worth over 70. I do hope she will get there at Skate America. And skate an okay Long tomorrow, and perhaps hang onto the podium.

Kaetlyn killed it!

Also, Ryan Bradley just called her the best jumper in the ladies field, and when those jumps are on I can't disagree.

Yes exactly and they should mean something. Bigger jumps >>> Rippon > tano

Wagner's jumps were a hot mess. Can't believe some people can't see that.
I really worry Pogo is gonna have another one of those long programs tomorrow...
