I feel the sp urs really got to Polinas' head here today. She was so focused on clean jumps that she lost the program and ended up doubling and popping as well. Her jumps just aren't as big as even a short time ago.

Ehhh... no. I really doubt that's the problem. But she has very little pre-rotation plus delayed rotation, if she loses even a bit of snap, her jumps get borderline.

And I'm also worried she might still be injured. Hopefully not and she was just off... and I'll also stick to my former concern that I'd like to see her with a coach who specializes more in jumping technique. She is so tall, I think that should be her first priority right now.

Viveca's reaction after the second one was priceless. She just sat there for a moment with a face that said "What on Earth happened there?!"

It must be mentally challenging to return to an event where you were seriously and unexpectedly injured last year. Polina probably did the exact same exercises that caused her injury last year and just had to trust that it wouldn't happen again. It's hard.

That is on brave girl! Those two falls were extremely harsh and would have winded her big time. Her eyes werent even focused when she got up from the axel fall
