Yup. Well hand it to the Russians: they know their pattern dances. And at least L/D have an integrated program, if not a particularly exciting one.

Parsons have a better FD - given clean skates by both, the Ameicans should sneak ahead like at JGPF.

I never had a problem with it earlier in the season.

But, today it is definitely more revealing than I remember. I think it's a different bra. It may be the same colour and everything, but it definitely doesn't cover as much as the old one did.

So, yes, the version she is wearing today is inappropriate for a Junior competition.

And the judges seem to feel just as you do, lol. And that FD the Parsons will have will likely be even better than they had it at GPF. I didn't think they could improve on their SD anymore but they did....I think we'll see some growth in the FD as well.

Also it is relevant to note that L/D messed up their FD at Jr nationals so bad that it const them the title (then again Jr nationals is like a curse for them). I hope they can put it behind them, but I would still have my money on the Parsons.
I hope the bronze will go either to the Russians in forth, or Carreiera/Ponomarenko. McNamara/Carpenter are disappointing this season.

I hope so. It's really one of my favorite FDs of the season, including the seniors. I'd love to see them skate it to its full potential.

I cannot understand how the Russian couples can be so good in Juniors and then completely fail after turning Seniors. They have dozens of very good junior couples and basically nothing on the Sr circuit. And this only happens in ice dance.
With the exception of I/K, a couple who had what it takes to win everything (and despite their break up they did achieved success on the Sr circuit - two Olympic medals), the last junior couple who made it through the Senior rankings are B/S (the junior world champions from 10 years ago!)
Meanwhile, Canada and USA are presenting successful couples who didn't even compete together as juniors (Madison and Even, Piper and Maul, Madison and Zachary).

That is relevant. They did mess up bad in jr rus nats. Very difficult for them to hold on to first.

Did not predict that top 8 but will take it. The two things I did know were that Loboda/Drozd and the Parsons would go 1-2 and that Shpilevaya/Smirnov would be 4th.

I like the Russian dancers and they did well today...each got a SB if I'm not mistaken.

The one thing I've realized about L/D's SD is that it's got a crazy amount of changes of direction. It may not look as nice and smooth as the Parsons' SD but it's gotta be challenging to skate.

As for the FDs, the Parsons have one of the best of any team this season. But Pavel is really passionate about Spain and he's studying Spanish too, so that FD is special to him. I try to view it from his eyes.

Pretty much. It seems like the choreographers responsible for the senior programs are stuck in the 1990s, whilst the entire world of ID has moved on wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy beyond that. You can't just trowel on the TraumaDrama or psuedoballetics anymore.

The programs are a problem but look at what happens to the levels. The levels usually go down sometimes to even level one. That's not programs. The technical side tends to stop developing and regress dramatically. The why is more difficult to pinpoint. As the females mature technique tends to start failing. You can see this with stepanova and Sinitsina. You can also see it in bobrova.
