2017 World Ladies SP

And Satoko and team made the right call. However, JSF should have used the Olympic spot as carrot to ask her to go. With how this is playing out, Satoko will not go unless she wins national.

Funny story- when I was a kid I actually thought it was asparagus and thought "damn that's some overcooked asparagus" and my dad told me it was cause they had to 'boil the hell out of it'

I'm Jewish so I had no idea what the eff you guys were talking about until I Googled it, lol

(Also apparently GS won't let you abbreviate WT_ without yelling at you)

Omg, this one here. :dbana:

I'm uncomfortable with the thought that Satoko should have been forced to go while injured, regardless of how she could have scored/what she can or can't do elements wise. It is very important if you are an injured athlete to take time to recover and get the treatment you need in order to avoid further more serious injury. I don't think Satoko should have had to risk her own health and long term career (not to say anything of her long term general health) just to get Japan 3 spots for the Olympics. OF COURSE everyone hopes they will get 3 spots, and sure, in some sense it would benefit Satoko too to have them, but not if her career is over because she aggravated an injury or she's still walking with a limp at age 50. If someone is injured they are injured. That's life. They shouldn't have to risk their health. They are more than just a tool to get maximum points, they are a PERSON.
Why bother arguing with this person? He's cuckoo lol

I don't think I have seen anyone as happy in the KnC as Elizbet's mum. That was very cute!!

Okay lesson of the day.

Aspergillum, Aspergillus or Asparagus.

And I have forgotten in what context Aspergillum was used just now.
