2017 Worlds Men's SP

No worse then the Russians when Lip went from 60 PCS at the GPF to jumping all the way up to 68 just a month later at Europeans.

She got around 67 at the Rostelecom cup, at GPF she was brutally underscored to let Mao Asada win.

Also that program was so touching and unique, can we say the same for Nathan programs?

If I recall correctly Hanyu missed both his quad attempts at TEB and skated a (or nearly) clean program at GPF...so not exactly a perfect comparision.

Hanyu singled a quad and fell on a quad at TEB and he fell on a quad at the Grand Prix Final. Somehow not singling a quad merits PCS jumping over 10 points from one competition to the next?

Okay, how about we compare his clean short program from TEB (http://www.isuresults.com/results/gpfra2013/gpfra2013_Men_SP_Scores.pdf) to his clean short program at the GPF (http://www.isuresults.com/results/gpf1314/gpf1314_Men_SP_Scores.pdf).

His PCS jumped from 42.65 to 45.32. :rolleye:

Now why would there be such a jump? Couldn't have been an Olympic season or anything....

I feel pressure. Don't imagine how the skaters in the arena can be now :hopelessness:

I can barely make out Fluffy between the other coaches!

I'm so nervous, am about to need the loo!

I don't know who's commentating for francetv sports but he's pretty savage.

Judging by the scores I assume kolyada fell

Don't need to leave for another hour. I love my Tuesday and Thursday schedule this semester. And I only have one class those days!!

Story time!!!

So about an hour ago when I was dropping my 8 year old daughter off at school, as she's getting out of the car, she turns to me and says: "Mom, will I get to see Yuzu the Pooh lover skate to that awesome Prince song when I get home? He won't be skating while I'm at school, will he? I don't want to watch him later on YouTube, I want to watch him live!"

GET OUT!!!! GET OUT OF MY CAR THIS INSTANT!!!! Hope you can find your way home on your own after sassing your mother like that!!!

Brezina's PCS lower than Jin's :slink:

I know....this still confuses me. Because someone has difficult jumps doesn't equate to someone having wonderful artistry. Spider Man is cute and jazzy but a lot of arm flailing and cute expressions doesn't match the artistry that Brezina or Ge showed.

Well, I think that everyone of us can agree about the fact that Parisienne Walkways is nearer at 45.32 in PCS than it is at 42.65 though :agree:

When I saw everything Michal Brezina did to help Samohin with his lost skates at Euros, I was so impressed by his kindness.

I say it's pretty much evenly divided. That's what happens when you start challenging for medals. Skaters like Fernandez, Hanyu, Chan etc get a lot of criticism because of the scores they may or may not deservedly get, which again if of no one's fault but the judges. I like Hanyu but some of the scores he gets, you can tell the judges know he is the Olympic champion and may reward him for his legacy rather than what was necessarily put out on the ice.

My biggest wish for skaters fans here on GS is that they direct any & all frustrations about scores solely towards the judges. Some skaters may always benefit or suffer because of their reputation but either way, that is because of the judges.
