Decent turn out in Finland today.

I don't think Natasha had a good skate but I'm not sure how many of the doubles were planned.

Just tuned in, bit drowsy (thanks cold) but figure skating is important.

Damn, just when I thought a pink dress indicated no La La Land.

It is too early for La La Land. Way too early. Like noon is too early but 6:30 when I've been up since four is just brutal.

Bring on the Moonlight OST anytime.

okay.. the emma stone murmur-singing might be the worst song I've heard from la la land and that is saying something.

Crying skaters are the worst thing to watch (except when they're crying of joy).

Why would you wear black tights under a black dress-thing?

Hello all, happy Sunday! :) :) :)

I am pretty excited to see if Elizaveta will win and how her skate will be, she really pushes the envelope strongly and looks radiant, confident, happy:)

I like me some tango, but this season is filled to the brim with tangos already.

I like that Finlandia is Fri-Sun so we still get some good skating on Sunday.

Two falls must be bone-wearing, I know, but she seemed she'd aged 5 years during her step sequence.

Oh dear - rough skate for Rika! :( I'm not sure what to make of this program. I really liked the step sequence and the cool spin position, but I'm not sure about the rest of it. She seemed to be very focused on getting through it, rather than performing.

Caught only the tail-end of Rika's free, but wow, what an end. Very cool.

Although assuming from her expressions, the jumps are not all there again :(

Rika Hongo (JPN)

Heavy fall on the opening 3F. Attempt at a second 3F, but also a fall, looks << on replay. Better 3Lz, a bit stiff, looks <. Par flying camel spin, average speed. Good choreography through the midline step, could have deeper curves. Good 2A+2T+2Lo right into a good flying combo spin (2Lo might be <). Okay 3Lo+2T (2T might be <). Nice 3S+2T. Popped 2T. Back entry into another combo spin with good sit position. Good energy through the choreo step.

A bit hit or miss for Rika today. Didn't start off that well with a pair of falls. I think that many of her jumps will be called for < or <<. This program suits her style since it disguises some of her weaker lines for high-energy and dramatic choreography.

Score: 133.66, Free Skate: 87.12, 39.91 PES, 49.21 PCS
