I kinda thought Hanyu would be here for an Olympic test drive. He hasn't skated since his injury last Fall, has he? So, this means the Olympics would be his post-injury debut (?)

It'll be interesting, but my top picks for podium is Shoma, Jason and either Max/Misha/the other japanese team. Hoping Junhwan could skate his best too

Edit: also Brendan! I almost forgot about him

So many guys I really like here. I hope I'll be able to watch.

The timing of 4CC really sucks for me this year.

So many terrific guys to root for but Elladj for me is such a sentimental favourite. He and Misha Ge.

Uh oh -- another all nighter. Get out the cheddar jalapeno bagel and Diet Coke. Really looking forward to seeing Shoma, Jin, Max, Jason, Grant, Brendan, Julian Yee, Keiji, Daddy Mura, Misha, Nam. Should be a good competition. Looking forward to the pairs too.

I think that this is going to be a very good competition, even lacking the North American Olympians and Hanyu.

There are big names and great talents and emerging skaters. I think that is a very positive sign for the discipline.

I contrast this with the 4CC ice dance competition... which will not be nearly as exciting. Ice dance has a long way to go in the 4CC region.

Pairs is somewhere in between.

And I forgot JH Lee and the air guitar :dance3:

I haaaate Bohemian Rhapsody (hated it even when a year ago Andrew T. skated to it), but I had the opportunity to see June Hyoung live last summer, and I do love the program with the air guitar:agree:

WooHoo for Eladji we get to see his fabulous programs again!
Most of the other men competing are first rate too!

Should be a great competition.

I'm going to be rooting so hard for Kevin. I'm going to watch the men's SP no matter what. This probably might be his last competition. So I ain't missing it. Even though I'll have to talk to someone the next day about a graduate project. I ain't missing it. Nope nope nope.

JI think for Elladj and Kevin this might be their last international competition. Kind of a sad moment for them. I hope they both have epic skates.

Is this the last international competition for any of the other men?

BTW, unless they go to worlds this would be I/M's last one too.

I've never been so excited over Four Continents. Although Shoma Uno is likely going to win, I'm looking forward to seeing Jason, Grant, Max, Nam, Elladj, Takahito, Boyang, Denis, Julian, Han Yan, Misha.... geez, almost every competitor! Here's hoping for more practice reports or info from the local Taiwanese media.
