He has that senior b commentator syndrome where he roots for the famous skaters, nitpicking on the rest of the field, in fact in the short he was doing that with Daniel because he thought he wasn't going to medal here

Not really. I was watching a lot of this competition in a real time. He criticized also Sadovsky and Hiwatashi for the things he found not that good in their skating or what they need to improve. He just found more things to say about skaters from the early groups (logically). But his comments were very accurate with the actual judges scores, so he was just tried to be objective and to explain the scoring and how the sport works.

This has never been officially confirmed, but rumour has it that Roman had suffered from an injury during the summer (he withdrew from both of his Canadian National Summer Series competitions) that he still hasn't fully recovered from, and it's preventing him from practicing the flip or the Lutz.

Trust me, for Harry that was a good skate. He is 25 and has never been at the top in Britain, never mind on a world stage. He is starting a Challenger in the first group in 22nd. He's hardly going to have the greatest SS. Not everyone can be Chan. Sometimes a compliment doesn't hurt, and he did almost his best. That's all you can ask.
