2018 Junior World Championships Ladies SP

Srsly, I don't really get the hype over Young You. Personally I find Hanul Kim way more promising.
Me neither. She's the next Da Bin Choi to me(As best-case scenario). A pretty good skater but zero actual international star potential. I don't get all the hype. Hanul Kim, Eunsoo Lim I both prefer.

I just wish they are consistently stingy if they indeed have decided to be today...
i hope so. Yesterday judges are stingy to everyone. Even the top men skater recieved up to 2 point less than usual. The judges also didnt give +GOE like candies

With all the impressive combos she has been showing in practice clips, I really was expecting something better than 3T-3T as the combo here. Still formidable of course, but...

Well, she got 26 points in her last JGP event and I personally expect skaters' PCS to increase in comparison, as a general rule.

It depends of the first group too and if judges started with a little lower or higher scores.
Great skate by Cui

It's a bit curious how You still hasn't managed to fix her UR issues. She was URing all over the place during the 2016 nationals victory and hasn't managed to work on it even though it was 2 years ago. Considering that UR is pretty much a worse mistake than a fall in today's scoring system, that's quite a handicap she gives herself. The height should be good enough, so...

It's because they aren't calling them domestically. She probably isn't aware that she has a underrotation problem. Hopefully her team can focus on that for next season.

Ting Cui has that scary Lipnitskaya-axel where it seems like throughout the jump she's falling. That'd be my concern regarding her jumps in the future.

Well her lutz toe seems pretty good but you can't do that in the short and her flip isnt her best jump so it was probably smart to do the 3t3t, with that big GOE from the flow and the rippon. She can rely on the 3t3t too, seems consistent

this was great!! she was flying across the ice, loved it :luv17:
