I know Kostarnaya is getting a lot of praises with her jumps and artistry but what really impresses me most is her footwork transitions and spins. Very fluid and difficult. Spins have nteresting shapes too. Definitely can rival the seniors

This program has such style, and Emmy's a great performer-- pity she couldn't nail those jumps. But she hung on.

Edit: I'd have given her a lot more PCS.

Judges started the competition with a little bit lower scores, so i didnt expect personal best PCS for skaters this time

The fluidity of her skating and transitions and footwork are so stunning. She's doing a "busy" Eteri program but makes it look so much more high-quality than any of the other Eteri girls can do (not to hate on them - but like Zagitova for example, definitely has parts in her programs that are just too busy and she has trouble performing well or keeping with the music).

yup always level 3. She is doing enough features and some more but i think she is being dinged in ice coverage and lost speed. If you noticed the first part of her Stsq is packed but she visibly slows down at the middle to end. I think if they change the composition of her stsq she should be good

It's because Kostornaia *finishes* every transition. She doesn't hurry through the motion. If you rush through a motion, you can get away with it if you have a relatively open program. If you stuff it more, it begins to look sloppy like almost all of the Eteri programs. She should host weekly seminars to teach the other girls how to do it - if Eteri was in a generous mood maybe she can let some of the other international senior women that need help in
