Us few Eastern europeans who did show up really appreciate the decision, as do all the little Bulgarian skaters. Holding big competitions in small countries helps with developing and popularizing the sport there.

In 2008, 2009, and 2014 the World Juniors was held in Bulgaria, it hasn't popularized the sport at all as there is more competitors than audience members currently. It's fine it you like supporting countries where figure skating lacks popularity, but it does nothing to popularize the sport in those nations.

everytime i see level 2 spin esp from top junior my heart aches love his skating though, its effortless remind me of Yuzuru, if only his spins reminded me of Yuzu too
