2018 Olympic Figure Skating Free Dance

It is nice to see that after an entire season of Scott and Tessa
wanting to die in the Kiss&Cry

They finally look ecstatic

Bet they did;), first time breaking 120 in FD and 200 Internationally, after all and doing it in the right time, in the right place

It's telling that 4 years after Sochi people still believe that Marina Zoueva did Tessa & Scott a disservice by choreographing that Seasons FD but there are also people who still have their knickers in knots that they called her out for that.

Get over it.

I can't believe some people still have their panties in a twist over this. Like it's been 4 years. They must really be good at holding grudges.

Olympics still perfect so far. Pairs, men and dance podiums are majestics. Three good competitions!

Interesting how 5,6 and 7 are exactly the same as last Olympics

C\B and C\B both drop one spot

So nothing really moves around that much ;)

For me, some disappointments. But that's my fault for always hoping for a miracle. Glad most of the fans seem really happy though! Can't believe the ladies are going tomorrow.

I've read somewhere Haguenauer is breaking up with Marie-France and Patrice and he's taking P/C as well. Is it true? Reason? A Zueva-like drama like four years ago?

Also, Hungarian commentator pointed out it's refreshing to see V/M's bond as Anissina/Peizerat and Grishuk/Platov "practically ran away from each other as soon as they could after their career had ended". Any info on A/P and G/P? I was not aware.

P&C beaten because of a costume malfunction. Talk about Karma. But the best team won (though I can't stand Scott but love Tessa) and the Shibs get an individual medal.

Well there were more problems in the SD in for pc than the wardrobe issue. They were marked very generously had I don't think have ever beaten Tessa and Scott in the short- maybe at GPF. Anyways too amazing teams. I am so happy that the right team won. Both are very good but they were both oversocred in the freedance. /I still don't know how the Fench won the FD but it doesn't matter. I thought V M had the skate of the night at least should have won pcs.

On another note, what needs to be done so that Zach Donahue stops making devastating mistakes at the big opportunities for H/D?

Last year's worlds and now here. The judges were ready and willing to give them the bronze both times. How many more times will the door be open for them?

I love this team and want them to make that next step. A sport psychologist (hard to believe they haven't already done this)?

I hope, hope, hope they can finally step up at worlds.

Someone should make a routine about all the ice dancing drama. There have to be a few judges who would get the inside jokes and give the team straight 10s in PCS across the board as they’ve got to be as burnt out from this as the rest... it’s just high school with deadly footwear.

I still don't know how the Fench won the FD but it doesn't matter.

They hit all of their levels, I think. Their performances were full of raw and true emotion. Did you see their faces in the replay? Really powerful stuff.

V/M were superb and hit all their levels as well, but these two teams couldn't be more different in terms of performance style and dance aesthetic! Hard to compare, don't you think?
