2018 Olympic Figure Skating Free Dance

Yura has this really lovely quality to her skating, her flexibility and extensions are just :luv17:

Min / Gamelin

Low spining stationary lift with a great position from Min. Fairly simple circular step with holds that could be tighter (Level 3). Good speed through the combo spin especially the second part. Nice cartwheeling entry and through-the-legs exist in the straight line lift. Slight hiccups from Gamelin on the twizzles on the second and third set (Level 2). Diagonal step sequence was alright, a bit simple but well done with good edges (Level 3). Good rotational lift with simpler positions (only Level 3). Soft, nicely held choreo lift and spin to end the program.

Some hitches in the twizzles, but a competent performance to Arirang which both North and South Koreans will appreciate. I think they'll be happy just performing this free dance in front of Korea and celebrating the country with a traditional song. They have some simple connections and positions, with some two-foot skating here and there. I think they can improve over the next four years with more speed and more depth in their edges.

Uh, so there’s a new law in Canada that you need to ship all that to me if you wish to be a fake Canadian and use the CBC livestream. Justin Trudeau approved it himself.

Never! I will never give up my cookies! Never! Never! Never!

Not unless Mr Trudeau comes here for them personally. He's a cutie.

Ooooh, Alisa's dress is pretty.

I know Alper's outfit is thematic with the music but it looks a bit...awkward.

Mr. P's cooking for me so I can be undisturbed watching the FD. Homemade Hamburger Helper! Daughter still napping.

My unappreciated faves Alisa and Alper coming with some mummy realness.

Sorry, but Pechalat/Bourzat's free dance will forever be my favorite Ancient Egyptian program :yay:

Will Yuna Kim be presenting the medals for the ladies at the medal ceremony?!

Ooo that'd be exciting, although I think only members of the ISU have been selected so far? I'm not sure though.

Turkish pair looking good! His costume really catches the eye!

Marco Polo, Cleopatra and Iron... The should've thrown music from Aladdin for the fun

Am feeling like I saw the Turks costumes before...The Mummy by a Russian man?

Loved everything about Min and Gamelin's performance. Don't care about the score. The traditional parts of Arirang brought a tear to my eye and back to my childhood as I heard my parents humming, singing, whistling to it on a daily basis. Also loved the hambok costumes.

I recognize these costumes. Wasn't this the team that was skating to The Prince of Egypt soundtrack as the Egyptians? :drama:

Yeah, Loreena Mckennitt is a much better choice
